I am still not certain how we found this place as it is off the beaten path downtown unless you are a local. Parking is impossible so only valet makes sense. Once inside you realize you have stepped into something you would expect in Europe. The ambience is fabulous, the menu varied as well as the wines. The wait staff... More

Food was varied and great. We ordered drinks, pasta, a burger and appetizers and nothing was a step below good to great.

La Dolcerie has been around for like 10 years. It had been such a great restaurant. Fancy eating, good price. I always ordered the fresh tuna nachos, the penne Donnatella, the PCB chicken, the Antoine risotto and the coconut dulce de leche fondant. They used to be great. I hadn't been to La Dolcerie for a long time, but they... More

I've come here since like 2010 or even earlier. Food used to be so good. Everything from nachos, to tuna tartare, risottos and pastas. And let's not even talk about desserts. Dulce de leche and coconut fondant so delicious. Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. I can honestly say food is bad. I ordered Penne Donnatella, which used... More

I had dinner last night with my husband here. The place was full but we managed to get a small table for two on the terrace. We ordered two appetizers (mofonguitos with ossobuco and a burrata with fig jam and crispy serrano), a salad (caramelized nut salad) and the Dolce burger. We paired if off with a Red Blend (Menage... We have visited this place a few times as the quality of food and desserts is good and, although not the best in the city, prices are ok. This place has evolved from a pretty good pastry shop to a see and be seen spot. However good the food may be, the service is absolutely terrible! Last time we waited... More

This is definitely the best value for money restaurant in Santo Domingo. Open all day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) this is a brunch type restaurant. Very nice deco and Food. One of the most recognized places in SD.
