I’m blown away by this restaurant. Service was top notch. Portion sizes are large and beautifully decorated. The food was beyond delicious. Unique yet classic. Great steaks, fantastic lamb. A special birthday dessert was prepared at our table by the chef. This was truly a...unique experience that made us feel special. Highly recommend!More

I don’t know what picky nonsense these fools are writing about. Here is the the truth 1) it’s a hotel restaurant, so don’t compare to a non hotel restaurant. Different vibe, and a great vibe for a hotel restaurant 2) staff was amazing. Served by...Argelis, lovely man, anything we wanted , happy to help, and cheerful. Entire staff like that 3) not a bad bite. Not one. Excellent pairings, very happy every step of way. I had short rib, girlfriend had lamb chops. I also happily ate her lamb chops. 4) appropriate size and nice playing. Not served slop. Someone though about this.... I was very happy, and it has more of an international flair than one would expect ( flavors Peru, USA, French, dominicain, etc...). Great hotel restaurant!!!!! 2 thumbs up from the Kushbomb!!! We stayed at the Marriott 9 nights and had 9 breakfasts on December 2018. Breakfast was served Buffet style, which suited us fine. We had Tea every morning till realizing that the water did not boil, and was served luke-warm. After I got sick I...stopped drinking the tea braught my personal bottle of water downstairs Breads were very good and so were the pastries that included 3 varieties of croissants. Dried-fruits and fresh papaya were great. Scrambled eggs were kept hot BUT the rest of the items in the hot food section were presented at room temperature, thus reducing product quality (e.g.: cooked vegetable, potatoes, Venezuelan and Dominican dishes). This situation occurred every day. Service was polite and staff took requests without batting an eye-lash. Conclusion: keep hot food hot! At USD 25 per person I found the breakfast at Winston Grill overpriced. TamiSmith, New York CityMore

Considering the price I have to give 3/5. Food is good but nothing spectacular, wine list is grossly overpriced vs other high class restaurant in Santo Domingo. Very small portions, risotto was excellent, short rib was dry & salty. Restaurant was completely empty on a...Saturday night.More

It may have been the day or the meal selected but this restaurant fell short of expectations and J W can and should do better. The service was fine but a little 'pushy' and sadly the food fell well short in quality and presentation. It...is a well presented restaurant but just did not get there and I struggled to give it three.More

It's a hotel spot so my expectations were kind of low. The food was pretty good but not memorable. The service was a bit slow.

Went for dinner with a bunch of friends on my b-day and had a marvelous experience! The food and the wine pairing was flawless. By the time you are paying the bill, you start thinking you will miss the staff, and wondering about when you...will be back. Thanks for the amazing night!More

Went twice to this place during my short stay at the JW Marriott in Santo Domingo and will go back. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and they also carry a decent wine selection to satisfy everyone. Try the Coconut Pina Colada for dessert! Absolutely delicious.

Great food and atmosphere but even greater service (specially Jose!). Will be back for sure. Try the salmon with risotto and then have your dessert at Vertygo

I went because of the positive reviews and I must recognize they are correct. This is a great buffet combined with an amazing service which makes it a very enjoyable experience. The food is very good, especially the meat (lamb chops are a must) and...the soup (sancocho). There is a great variety including salads and charcuterie, and some nice dessert options to finish the meal on the sweet side. The most impressive element is the attention to the customers: the guys, in particular Mariano, Emmanuel, Claudio, and Lidia, were always there ready to assist with any needs. They were also able to get me a very good Italian style espresso. I'll definitely go back.More

The open buffet lives up to the expectation. It comprises a mix of barbecue and Caribbean classics, fused with the high trends in the international culinary scene. A bit pricy - 60USD but for an all inclusive buffet washed down by mimosas you may want...to try it.More

After my great experience last December at JW Marriott, I decided to organize my business lunches at their restaurant Winston Grill & Patio during my stay in February. The view is beautiful, food is really good and diverse catering to all tastes, gluten free breads...always available, staff is well trained, friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Christopher Hamra the F&B manager who welcomed us as if we were at home, always attentive to our (complicated) needs (and food allergies! :) Returning to the Marriott once more this spring!More
