A little hidden gem! I was having a solo holiday and discovered this fantastic restaurant where everything on the menu is cooked from fresh by the lovely owner Dani. Delicious French/Caribbean dishes, a charming decor and friendly atmosphere makes this a place I can't wait to visit again!!

During a week's visit to Guadeloupe, we ate at Aux Artistes twice, commemorating our last night by returning for another delicious meal. All in all we have sampled these items from the menu: Chicken Colombo, a creole style dish with amazing flavors; duck, prepared to perfection with a lovely cream sauce; crayfish with star anise and veal in a lemon... We were really impressed by the food, atmosphere and service at Aux Artistes. The restaurant was quiet when we visited, but we were treated like old friends by Dani, the delightful chef/patron who also served us. We love French cuisine and we weren't disappointed (the crayfish in star anise sauce was particularly delicious) - this is somewhere to come for... More

My colleague and I were working on a cruise ship and had been swimming on a nearby beach at Bas du Fort, Pointe a Pitre and were advised by some of the dance troupe from the ship, who were also swimming, to visit Aux Artistes. We hurried along to be greeted by an amazingly attractive French lady, speaking impeccable English, who... More

Very good food and the most friendly and warm welcome we've received in years. This was our first time at this restaurant but felt like we'd been coming over and over again. We were even treated to a digestif at the end of our meal. Everything we ate (fish, meat, salads) was dealicious. This one is Special!

We loved this restaurant. The ceviche, cod fish fritters are just two of the amazing appetizers that melt in your mouth. The entree's were all great. The salads were fresh and tasty. The service and ambiance were above excellent! Both my husband and myself recommend this restaurant highly. It's a must to stop and eat a meal here while visiting... More

Dani has run this restaurant for over 15 years now. She was a showgirl in Las Vegas and speaks fluent English. She serves brilliant French Caribbean specialities including ouassous (huge fresh water prawns) lambi (conch) colombo (curry .. chicken, goat, beef) as well as escalopes, steaks, beef and lamb brochettes. Popular with locals and very friendly
