We went rafting on the Rio Grande and stopped at Belinda's for lunch (you can only get to her by raft). The only thing we didn't try was the curried goat. The crayfish, chicken, rice & peas, vegetables, dumplings, bammy, and fried plantain were delicious! If you do the raft trip, be sure to call her ahead so she can... More

We went to Belinda's with the best intentions - we were excited to finally experience her food after having read quite a bit about it. She was very nice and welcoming, and the meals were good and tasty. I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever experienced in Jamaica, but it was good. Unfortunately, though, I have to point... More

Arranged a Rio Grande tour through The Geejam Hotel who also advised us to visit and have lunch at Belindas. I was worried as i'm vegetarian but she made me a special vegetarian dish which was lovely. (Let Belinda know before travelling if you are a veggie) The whole experience is perfect and highly recommended. A must do in Port... More

OMG, when Belinda's picture popped up on my screen my mouth started watering and my best smile began. She is a terrific chef, cook, a sweet soul, too. Enjoyed laughing with her and she's probably Jamaica's most photographed woman. Jamaicans prepare great food, and we stayed at Gee Jam and ate at the fancy places but Belinda's was far and... More

The best meal of our trip. I had Crayfish (I don't even like crayfish, but I loved Belindas Crayfish). We keep flash-backing and reminiscing to our meal river side with Belinda. The atmosphere is breathtaking, Belinda is so humble, we had no hint that we would be in for the best meal of our trip. Wouldn't change a thing, love... More

This was an unexpected surprise that couldn't have been more enjoyable! Enjoy an afternoon on the Rio Grande and stop at Belinda's for an unforgettably delicious from scratch meal!

I have studied Port Antonio for years and finally decided to stop studying and go. We were there in May 2016. I had Jerk at the Jerk market several times (it is actually the best at the beach and not the market - the market seems dried out) and Dickie's Best Kept Secret. After watching Port Antonio youtube videos, some... More

Had the most wonderful day floating down the rio grande river but what really made the trip special was the delicious meal that Belinda prepared by the riverside about 2/3 of the way down. After having been disappointed with most of the food I've had in Jamaica her food was a revelation. It was so good we got extra plates... More

Have been coming to Jamaica over the years and eaten at many restaurants. Discovered this one on rafting trip today. Absolutely delicious. The extremely rustic atmosphere leads to the mystic of this gem. Worth a rafting trip just to eat there!

Belinda is a nice lady, the food is nice, the trip down the river is also quite nice... But understand this sort of authentic local food experience can be had a million times over again in markets and street stalls all around the "developing world". I think some of you folks need to get a bit more often. You can't... More

This lady is an institution. She has a barbecue on the bank of the Rio Grande river at Port Antonio. You can only reach it by bamboo raft! I'm serious. You can google Belinda's Rio Grande Port Antonio and it will come up. This lady cooks the greatest spicy crayfish and fried chicken ever. Look at my profile- I've eaten all around the world, I'm not joking. I ate their today and it broke my heart to see other tourists rafting by and not taking their lunch there because they didn't know about it. This lady needs a break and Tripadvisor can help. Not out of sympathy, but just great food
