While the Mushrooms w/ Sausages and Minestrone soup was appetizing enough, the Lasagna was an utter disappointment. The Pasta was overcooked, too soft resembling a soup like texture and several areas had no meat or cheese filling. Why would you drown Lamb chops in a creamy sauce, that's an injustice! Instead the sauce should have been served on the side.... More

Fantastic service, good authentic Italian food. I had Veal, slightly overcooked, but incredibly flavorful. We came just before the dinner rush on a Sunday. Festive local crowd as well as many tourists. Sit comfortably inside or they have a fantastic streetside patio area that looks just as comfortable. Great Service. Generous portions.

So, we went here for dinner and we were so happy with the food that we went the next day to order lunch for the beach! The pizzas were good and the Italian combo the next day on the beach was really good!

Via Appia was the best pizza joint growing up in PR. Unfortunately, this is not the case anymore. They now use inferior quality ingredients and is a completely different pie.... a sad and former shell of what it once was. With so many amazing culinary offers in PR nowadays, do you self a favor and buy pizza somewhere else. Better... More

Came here for dinner. Ate outside on the terrace. Nice atmosphere. We both had the veal parmasean or milanese, not sure of the name on the menu. While the portion was large and the veal was tender, the taste was ho-hum. Mine was served with a side of spaghetti with tomato sauce and my friend a side of salad. Both... More

Don't see what the hype of this place is. Not worth my money. The service was nothing out of the ordinary. The food took too long to be served. And I've had better Italian food. The lasagna was not that great. It felt as if I was eating synthetic cheese. Not impressed by this place at all.

I feel as though I'm being redundant in my praise of the warmth of the Puerto Rican people but everywhere we went we met outgoing and friendly people willing to engage in conversation and offer tips to make our vacation experience better. Ray, a waiter at Via Appia was perhaps the best example. While Ray was an attentive server, he... More

I used to like this place so I placed a reservation for 20 people to celebarte a birthday. In the middle of the celebration a person came to our table yelling towards us telling that we need to lower our voices, to our suprise it was the owner. I think there are manners to ask us. He should have told... More

I usually get the Via Appia pizza. Food and service and good and consistent. Just remember this is simple Italian food, not high cuisine.
