Truly wonderful experience in every way. The creativity, presentation and flavor profiles of each dish were beautifully nuanced and delicious. The wait staff and hostesses were warm, informative and genuinely seemed pleased that we were dining with them. The setting in Old San Juan is...lovely, modern and the noise volume was low, notwithstanding the amount of clients.More

We loved everything about this restaurant! Our large group arrived for the 14 course experience and everyone raved about the evening. I am unable to eat a long list of things—no gluten, dairy, beef, eggs, orange, chocolate and the chef prepared special courses just for...me that I dare say were more delicious than what the rest of the group enjoyed. If you attend a lot of business dinners, you know how rare this is! The staff was super attentive and took the time to explain each course and check in on me several times during the meal to ensure all was well. From the creative drinks, attentive service, and each and every bite, Marmalade is not to be missed.More

My husband and I agreed that Marmalade ranks in our top 3-5 culinary/dining experiences worldwide. The food, service, cocktails, vibe, and location were truly unforgettable. I was grateful for the inclusion of inspired and dynamic dishes that allowed both of us to enjoy a decadent...experience despite dietary restrictions (gluten-free for husband, vegan/vegetarian for me.) Shae, Jesus, and Chef Peter Schintler were all a delight to talk to and made our experience unique and special as we celebrated my husband's 40th birthday. The price point is also very reasonable considering what you get for it. Do NOT miss Marmalade when you are in San Juan!More

Both of us agree, and are never ones to complain but, at the price we paid. The food was nowhere close to what you imagine. Half the meals lacked in flavor, or was too strong. Service was amazing.More

Great restaurant in Old San Juan. The five course tasting menu is well executed. You get to choose each of four courses and you will receive an initial gift from the chef and all receive their signature white bean soup. (We weren’t excited about the...bean soup just based on the name but it was fantastic!) You do not have to select the same choices for each course as others in your party. Wine pairings are optional and are paired specifically the selected dish. All were good. Recommended if you love tasting menus and fine dining.More

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe our experience at Marmalade last nite. Every detail from the moment we walked in made us feel like this restaurant was 1st class! The presentation for each course was breathtaking. Pictures provided. It was a...tasting experience! The chef even took the time to say hello at the end of our meal! ❤️More

We have eaten at a lot of Michelin star restaurants in the UK and Europe and this was the nearest we could find here in San Juan, yet it was differnet to any we've been to due to how the menu works. You could choose...any 5 dishes from the menu, each a decent size and unique, for the set price. It was called a tasting menu but each was a decent sized meal in itself, which is great because you got more of the flavour in each. My wife had 5 vegan dishes, including one with vegan cheese that was so convincing that we had to ask to be sure ! I had mainly fish dishes followed by a wonderful chocolate mousse, so rich it could have bought the place. My wife had a selection of vegan ice creams for dessert and I know she's enjoying the food when I dont get offered any ! We had an excellent bottle of wine, and two more glasses and a glass of port, so it wasnt a cheap meal, but ass a one off special occasion ( we had got here ! ) it was worth it. Excellent "michelin star" foodMore

My wife and I just had the most incredible meal here! Our server Christina went above and beyond to ensure every minute of our experience was memorable. Each dish was better than the last. Thankfully the white bean soup comes with every 5 course tasting...menu as we probably would have skipped over it and missed one of the best tasting soups of our lives. The paella, beef tenderloin and crème brûlée were out of this world. 5 stars isn’t enough for this place.More

Wow, Wow, Wow! Marmalade lives up to its reputation as one of the best, if not the best, restaurant on the island. Delightful in every way: the tasting menus are a pure treat and the wine pairings are impressive. The tiny white bean soup is...not to be missed. Bravo to the chef, sommelier and service team!More

I came here for Marmalade's 5-course Christmas dinner and had a relatively nice experience. Food: Overall, this 5-course meal was rather nice. Diver scallops "ramen," lobster risotto and beef tenderloin were spot on. Paella and B3 (B cubed) dessert, not so much. I think the...executive chef had a good intention when he made this paella, but everything being compressed into a small circular cone shape takes away the complex flavoring of a paella. For the B3 dessert, it did not have the level of excitement I would expect from a $145 5-course meal (with drinks it ended up being $200 plus taxes & tips). When I opted to not have their tiny white bean soup, they brought me a small sample anyway: boy was I surprised! This is what Marmalade's executive chef is known for, and I appreciated that he allows you to take a copy of his recipe card. Service: Shay and her colleagues were quite attentive and provided amazing service.More

My wife and I, 30-somethings, came to San Juan for a long weekend/getaway-from-the-kids. We enjoy going out and having a full "dining experience," and Marmalade was highly recommended by TripAdvisor and other online searches. We did the tasting menu with a wine pairing, which was...expensive (over $600, tip included). But! In regard to wine variety and quality (we are admittedly no connoisseurs), food and service, it did its best to justify the cost. We found Marmalade to be the best restaurant during our time in San Juan. We definitely recommend it if the budget allows!More

they are typically booked weeks in advance so I would recommend booking as soon as you have your dates set. not sure if they have a limit on how far in advance you can book.
