Visited Kasalta for dinner last night and it was so delicious that we came back for breakfast today. The staff and local customers were super friendly and helpful in suggesting what to order. If you are near Ocean Park this establishment is a must!

While in San Juan for the Hurricane Maria relief effort, I stopped here for breakfast. It's easily one of the busiest places in town at breakfast time, and after eating here, the wait to get in and order was worth it. The food is cooked...More

Great service and very attentive. Love the little cuban sanwiches! Have to go early, it gets full in no time and a little wait for parking, but it is worth the wait. A very large variety of pastries and sandwiches.

We stopped here for breakfast based on a suggestion from our Uber driver. The eggs with ham and provolone were amazing as was the tres leche and espresso. Went here two mornings in a row. 🙌🏼

I stayed at a nearby Airbnb and this was where I had breakfast most days. I don't eat gluten, but was able to get scrambled eggs with ham alongside a papaya and OJ smoothie for about $13. There were also many lovely pastries and desserts...More

My first morning in town I stolled about 100 feet to Kasalta for breakfast. My spanish wasn't too great so I did the old head nod and smile when asked about specifics. The result: I got expresso (never drink it) toast and a guava pastry....More

The only bad thing about this place is the crazy parking lot. The spots are so tight and usually filled. Its kind of the same inside when you look at the case of sweets only in a good way. Choose from cake, cookies, brownies, local...More

Visited Kasalta this week with a group of 7 while in San Juan for business. We all had one of the local lunch specials and everyone was pleased with their choices. The albondigas and churasco were the hands down favorites. The rice, beans and tostones...More

If you are concerned about gluten-free options, don't go. This is the best local bakery in Puerto Rico. Enjoy good food with good local people. Eat and be merry!

Most local places to not have specialized food such as gluten free or vegan options as it is not something that is popular or practiced here in Puerto Rico. Veggie is just food without the meat which can find. Here it is... More
