Food is excellent and has been consistent for more than 30 years. Important to try is the chorizo, ham croquettes, Spanish tortilla, empanadas, solomillo de cerdo, sangria, San Jacobo, and paella.

I went there on vacations, Had to try their 3 soups: Onion Soup, the Galician Soup and the Best of the Best their Garlic Soup! I had a Fried Grouper with their home made fried potatoes. Definitely return as soon as I have a chance!

This restaurant is a cross over between fine dining and mid-range. Meets are really good and the Paellas also. Service is average for the price and accomodations could be a little better. Food taste is excellent.

El Mesón Español is definitely my favorite Spanish/Tapas restaurant in the southwest of Puerto Rico. Their Spanish Tortilla has absolutely no rival. You must also try their cod croquettes and cheese balls. If you like bolder flavors, try their boquerones. For dining, their Caldo Gallego is spectacular, and their San Jacobo is a must-try. Service is always good, and prices... More

This place established more than 20 years ago is very respectable restaurant. Their croquetas are one of the best I have ever tried. Service could improve, is pretty slow .Their paella is very good , not excellent but good. They have a very refreshing sangria that is sure to please anyone. They have a nice space for parking. The restaurant... More

Best Spanish food this side of the island. Try the paella for two, they offer a take out paella as well. Don't expect local puertorican food, this is mostly Español cuisine. Good wine selection.

Excellent food and tapas. It's an authentic Spanish cuisine restaurant we had the house sangria and a few tapas and it was excellent. Staff is friendly and place has this cozy european feeling.

I have been to this restaurant about 3 times. although it is very good on our last visit we were disappointed. Turns out we have ordered paella before and this time around we were charged twice as much for the same portion. We gently claimed to our waitress but we had to pay over $75.00 usd for a regular service.... More
