Mucho Gusto closed in 2011 or 2012. It will be missed by those who enjoyed local recipes at reasonable prices. When we were on the island last the space was operating as a bar.

The rice soup with seafood is excellent and the drinks are very affordable. The staff is very friendly... highly recommended.
Good local food, a refreshing change from the Esperanza international menus. A bit hard to find but well worth it.
Chef Carmen has the best seasoned grilled fish in Vieques. Try the conch fritters - yum. And her rice and beans are the very best authentic Puerto Rican style. Love this place on the Malecon. Closed Thursdays.
4 of us went to the restaurant waited 90 minutes for our order and when asked how much longer our order would be the cook came out and gave us attitude. Needless to say we walked out. Definitely would not recommend this
