We walked up for dinner without a reservation and were very lucky to get the last table, so do reserve. The door was locked but the bell was answered quickly; we realised why they locked the door as we walked in through a richly stocked wine cellar towards the charmingly painted dining room. The walls have a well-executed island panorama... More

We visited Martinique in January 2016 and came straight to La Cav a Vins right from the airport even before checking in to our hotel. The staff, the exquisite food and wine as well as the space itself was one of the most extraordinary experiences that we have ever had. On our last day, we traveled an extra hour to... More

It's the unique place with outstanding design and exceptional service and very good for a romantic dinner or for just friends. Thank you so much Clementine for your help with the choices on the menu as we did not speak French. The food is very good, perfect presentation, we just really enjoyed the food. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful... More

We were made very welcome by Clementine even though we we didn't have a booking. She graciously helped us with the choices on the menu as we did not speak French. All our service was prompt and friendly. Our food was superb, we had the scallops and lamb rack followed by the delicious Creme Brulle. The wine was more expensive... More

Second visit in as many years and still the best. The menu, the service, the dinner better than any other restaurant visited on the island. It's a small restaurant, very efficient and good for a romantic dinner, just friends or for business. Highly recommended.

Short version: A nicely decorated place with a nice ambiance, but with cold, not so helpful host totally uninterested in your dining experience. Lots of choices for wine, but some quite overpriced. The food was inconsistent in quality. Some parts were rather good, some dull, and creme brulee simply disappointing. The host-lady did not try to make up for any... More

Word of precaution: the menu is in French only. So google translate is your friend. That being said the food was so delish. The appetizers were great (especially the foie gras and various patées). For the meal we had the lamb chop and fish (not sure what it was called) it was described as "the white fish of Martinique". The... More

As part of a day trip to the capital we had lunch here, what a fantastic place, from being cooked outside in the midday sun you go through the wine shop into a cool restaurant with about 7 or 8 tables. Service and food was excellent and the hostess extremely attentive.

La Cave a Vins is conveniently located in the center of Fort de France. Upon arrival one is greeted by Madame, the owner/operator of the restaurant, which is rated as one of the best in Martinique. We, a family of four including kids, were happy with the food we ordered and the friendly service.
