Probably at 15mn walk from the city center, the restaurant is little bit hidden. But It's one of the best vegetarian restaurant of the own. For a quite affordable price you get a full meal with fresh fruits juice.
Came with some friends for dinner, it was lovely, we sat inside. The menu is very easy to chose from so we decided what we were having in no time! The food did not take long to come. I had the fish which was excellent!!
I came at Kay Ali for a business lunch. We were seated in the small lounge of a lovely colonial house located in a residential area of Fort de France. Elegant decor with antique local furniture. Staff were warm and attentive. Chef Alivon offered us...a subtle fusion cuisine, a blend of classic French dishes and Creole touch. I enjoyed my lemonade as an aperitif followed by a fine pastry avocado tart, duck magret served with mashed yam and sweet potatoes, a fruit salad and a glass of Bourgogne. My best dining experience in Martinique.More
We tried to navigate to Kay Ali this evening but our navigation system tricked us by sending us to a wrong place. After some time and turning off the navigation system we found finally this beautiful place were we had a nice dinner.
We started...our journey with an amuse bouche a good bottle of red wine and an inviting atmosphere. The dinner selection is limited-2 starters, 3 entrees and 2 desserts-but that makes the selection easier.
I had the lentil/coconutmilk/cream soup - what a stunner.
We also had loup de mere carpaccio-not only an eye catcher but opener for the senses.
So I was looking forward to continue our journey through local cuisine.
The veal steak was perfectly seared and the accompanying cream/rum sauce - sauce is in an extra dish - rounded the whole dish up.
I also had a chance to try the Marlin that a friend ordered. Accompanying side dishes were a local starch cream and a Bavarian style kraut. Both sides were served in extra dishes.
We tried one of each of the dessert-how they tasted? You should come and have lunch or dinner at Kay Ali and find out yourself.
We had a very nice evening there. A delightful journey away from our journey.
Thanks to all the people working there for making this evening an unforgettable one.More
We have decided to surprise one of our family member in this particular restaurant for her birthday. The service was really comprehensive and organize the event perfectly . We were placed such a way that it was difficult for the person to see us until...the last minute (Salon Rose)
Meal was delicious and really nice to us .
I had the tartar of Merlu and Vivaneau sauce vierge
Sablé Maracuja for desert.
It was fantastic and I will definitely will go back there when I have a chance .More
Kay Ali has a quaint but quite classy ambiance. The service was very good...friendly staff...food was very timely.
Food options were specific to 2 or 3 options per night to choose from. Had both the steak and fish and both were excellent!!! The desserts were...truly divine.More
