The myth of the Buffet Cheeseburger in Paradise is alive and well with one local assuring us it was written about this restaurant. Very little online sleuthing tells you otherwise...from the Jimmy himself. The real subject of that great song is in Tortola. So why go here? Sure the owner is Jimmys friend and apparently he hangs out here on... More

Thank God our last meal in Paris was a good one because I was beginning to think France only had tasteless and bland food. I regret not having tried this place sooner because we haven't had any luck in the food department our entire stay in France. And considering we just came from Italy--where the food was beyond amazing--the food... More

you will not be disappointed! If you are, you might simply be on the wrong island. A St Barth tradition. Burgers and fries, and even the fish sandwich, are yummy to the core.

Yes, before all the stars came to the island and it became a destination point, Le Select was the first cafe to be opened in the Gustavia. It always attracts the locals and tourists and it is a very nice place to chill. However, the food is very simple, but if you crave for some cheap meal with the authentic... More

Nice bar to sit out in the open right in the center of Gustavia under the shade of the trees and great for people watching which after all is one of the attractions of Gustavia. Cheap and cheerful full of character.

Le Select is an institution on St Barth. The famed "cheeseburger in paradise". Seating is in a courtyard in the middle of the town of Gustavia-- it is great people watching, and the atmosphere is local, friendly, energetic. Fries are great, beer is cold, prices are good. But the burgers are pretty sub par. Thin patties, not always cooked through.... More

le Select is there since ever and 4-ever. it does not get better and not worse. Its just a bar for locals (and tourists with courage) . Very very casual....the last hang out for hippies of this world.

Went there once, and never came back. Really weird place. It did not feel comfortable or cosy in that bar. It seems to be popular with some locals though. The outside Cheeseburger in Paradise place is super noisy!!

A trip to St Barths is not complete without a visit to Le Select. There are no waitresses or waiters so when you walk in through the courtyard simply walk up to the little window, order your drinks (pay in Euros for a better deal). Then if you're hungry and the grill is open, walk over to the right and... More
