Best to visit early before the beach nearby gets flooded with cruise ship passengers, i had a very nice quiet breakfast here with amazing view of the beach and the planes landing right above the water and the beach, prices are good and the menu is customisable

Great beach bar to watch the planes arrive & depart. They have a schedule there for all the flights too. Make sure you time it out wisely because this is a very busy bar & may not get a seat.

We only had drinks here but it's a must just to see the people get blown away by jet fuel from planes. Apparently Air France planes are the most powerful. Great spot

We started at the beach and watched the airplanes land. We migrated to the restaurant for some food and drinks. Pizza was good. Service was good. It took a long time for food though. It was busy. Restrooms were super clean. Great spot to chill out and watch.

So crowded and loud. We skipped and watched the planes from the beach and left. We aren't crazy about uber tourist places.

Location location location! Food was good service excellent and fun. We loved watching the air traffic, and even took a nice swim at the beach.

This Saint Maarten institution has doubled its size and upgraded its burgers. The drinks are still reasonably priced and the service is mostly good (ask for Thelma). You can watch the planes land and take off and the more adventurous folks (with less common sense) get blown off the wall by jet wash. And the sunsets are great.

A well visited and often too crowded bar to have a drink and a snack. But the view is perfect. The service is average but snacks and beverages are above average. They have to upgrade their garbage collection. Their garbage collection point is smelly and used kitchen oil is polluting the area. I hope they are not killing the goose... More

Our trip to St Maarten wouldn't be complete without a visit to Sunset Beach Bar. We love spending the afternoon watching planes land, take off and enjoying lunch and drinks. The food is casual, tastes great, and goes perfect with a iced bucket of beers. The energy, fun, and excitement is not to be missed.

Thank Karen H

Fasten your seatbelts for fun in the sun! Sunset Bar & Grill is St. Maarten's most popular beach bar and it's easy to see why. We are right on a beautiful white sandy beach, but also right at the end of the runway of Princess Juliana International Airport. Where else can you enjoy an ice cold beer as a huge KLM Jumbo Jet soars right over your head?
