I have been going to this wonderful local restaurant for 14 years. I returned to Tortola last month to find that it has closed. Rumor has it that the owners were becoming too elderly to run it. What a shame. This was the most wonderful place for my wife and I to eat while on Tortola. Very sad.

like dining and someone's home, family run with grandma in the kitchen. authentic local cuisine - fresh, delicious and plentiful. after several visits, this could be the best casual dining on the island. get there in time for the sunset, later and it could be crowded. worth every penny, so tip well.

Yep, it's slow island service. There can be mosquitos. Wear pants or bug juice. Make sure the kids have had a little snack before you come. Be there at 6. However, the Ginger chicken is THE thing to have there. Try fresh fish with provisions (and bones).True island dish. We go at least twice during every trip. Kids love honey... More

We've been going here for years, like the food, people are nice, but, they let too many people in and can't handle the crowds. The wait for everything is endless and we're just not finding that to be enjoyable any more. It's the same every year. When I get to the end of a meal and find myself thrilled to... More

We ate at Palm's Delight last night and had a great meal and a very pleasant experience overall. As other reviewers have noted, the service isn't speedy but is extremely gracious and friendly. We all had fish of various types and agreed that it was better prepared than similar dishes at fancier Tortilla restaurants that we have visited. You are... More

Come early and stay late for a good reasonably priced dinner. Catch a great sunset then have a casual meal at this waterside "island" restaurant. The conch fritters appetizer is light and tasty. We love the honey stung fried chicken, the BBQ ribs, and the ginger chicken. For those who have developed a taste for it, the local fish is... More

Don't let the casual ambiance scare you away, the food is fantastic. I was referred by a local friend to order the fried fish in creole sauce and I was so glad I did. I took home some key lime pie and was happy with that too even if the trip home was a little hard on the pie. Expect... More

So so good! This was one of our favorite dinners while on our honeymoon. The food is all local Caribbean flavor and is so good. We would recommend the chicken in wine sauce and the fish in Caribbean sauce. Enjoy!

Who'd have thought this little place along the beach would be some of the best food I've ever had? I had the garlic lime chicken, to die for!!!! The service was awesome, very friendly and welcoming!

Often crowded but never too noisy, Palm's Delight serves well-prepared food to tourists, seasonal residents and local alike. Sonny and Iona have teamed up since the old Skyworld days.
