I am born and raised Virgin Gordian and I absolutely can't get enough off this spot! They do awesome burgers and conch fritters! If you're looking for a sweet sunset spot while dining then this is the place for you!

Not only is the food great, but the view is insane. They have live music some days. They even have a mini-golf course out front. Great drinks. Good place for kids too!

We've enjoyed sunset dinners at The Mine Shaft in years past with music, a good atmosphere and decent food. Now we are back just with the update the Mine Shaft is closed for renovations. No idea how long.

We had a good down home Caribbean fish dinner, while experiencing a golden sunset. Memorable experience.

VG is sort of a different place, and the Mine Shaft reflects that. We were there in mid June and like others have said, we were the only diners there that evening. That is not so unusual in the off season in Virgin Gorda. Actually...More

We had read about the lovely views from here but there is now many houses blocking the views. Maybe they should not brag about the views any more. We were a large group with reservations. Then when we start ordering, we discover they really opened...More

My wife had read some nice reviews so we stopped off here to check out the food and putt putt course. The mini golf course was absolute trash so that was a no go. We were the only ones there and service was extremely slow....More

Stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon for sunset drinks. Flyer in town advertised music. No music. Bunch of taxi drivers sitting at the bar ogling our wives and making obnoxious comments. Asked the bartender about the music. She had no clue and spoke very...More

I am a sunset fan and have to go to the Mine Shaft for sunset when I visit VG. Sitting high on a hill, you have an unobstructed view. As the sun is setting, the local chickens fly into the tree next to the deck...More

There was a time when The Mine Shaft was the "in place". Crowded every night. A lively fun spot with good food and service. Plus a spectacular view. The only thing remains is the view. This is a place that seats at least a hundred...More

Good day, I'm writing to make a complain, you have two new waitresses that have no customer service. They took a while before coming to take our order, we sat there waiting like a fool. I see that they are very young females, you need to hire new staff that knows how to treat their customers. We will not be going back there unless things have changed. The way they were dressed also in those short skirts the dark skin one bent over the other table to reach for a class and my 12 year old son told me he saw her underwear, this is very unprofessional for a business.
