Took a while to find but Fernando's Hideaway is my kind of place. Off the beaten track and family run it provides home cooking at its best. Fernando had recently bought a new motor for his fishing boat and red snapper was on the menu. Loved the hearty bean soup and snapper with veg and salad. It was a special... More

We heard about this place from friends, and it was worth the taxi ride. Had to wait til everyone arrived for their reservations. The menu is limited and some items they only have 3-4 plates of, as its based on what was caught that morning. But when the food arrived it was great. Make sure to make reservations.

We have eaten here many times in the last twelve years, this is the first time we have been disappointed. We are familiar with the format that I know some find frustrating, once most tables have arrived they start taking orders - strictly in order of arrival, this is fair and adds to the quirky experience and goes well with... Locally run restaurant with a daily menu of just a few dishes. Not much atmosphere, but good music. Food was basic, but reasonably priced and well cooked.

We had to book 48 hours ahead, but well worth the wait. Meal was superb, even if Fernando had not caught the fish this time as he had his outboard motor pinched. Still atmosphere and service were superb.

Getting a table here is the hardest thing. One sitting, very limited menu, basic decor then why go? Simply you eat what the proprietor catches off his boat that day. Don't like Fish, don't come! The best restaurant on the island bar none. Best staff ved it.

We found Fernando,s lacked atmosphere and was not as good as the other restaurants on the Island. Food was average infact my fish was overcooked.the rustic style just did not work for us.

We went here for our last dinner in Bequia as a combination of a farewell and birthday celebration. We met Fernando who was so nice and chatted with us for a bit (we were the first ones there). As it's known, Fernando will cook what he has on hand so there is no set menu. That night it was a... More

Difficult to find (when coming fro town turn L at bottom of hill. There is a limited choice as others have indicated. The service is good. The food rather uninspired. Wine very limited...have Rum Punch instead.

A horrible assortment of incompatible dishes that left a dissapointing view of caribbean cusine. I can understand keeping an ultra rustic rustic vibe but this is rediculous. Poor seating and a literal uphill hike to this restaurant leaves you tired getting there or hungry after a poor tasting meal. The callaloo soup was a disaster. Apparently the callaloo was ground...
