I was looking for a typical TT Breakfast and this was really it. Its not restaurant itself but a shack taht has several separate food stalls or stands inside and share common tables in the middle. I really enjoyed the street market style of it and its a beautiful location waterfront close to the port, in a very good and... More

I usually visit this Food Court at about 5:00am and sit at the table closest to the Waterfront armed with a Newspaper and have a cup of coffee while awaiting a bowl of Fish Broth. Huge pieces of fresh fish and vegetables prepare me for a new day and then it is off to work by 6:30am usually with some... More

One of the best Macaroni Pies I have ever eaten along with the hottest Pepper Sauce, great atmosphere and so cheap. Local Fast food at its best, all cooked fresh to order, it must be good as a lot of locals go there to it!

I recently bought stewed chicken from the Breakfast Shed Trinidad and as per usual i observe before i proceed to eat especially since the facility was filthy i still wanted to fair and look pass that and try there 'tasty' food. Now as i dug into my chicken i noticed a putrid smell coming from it. Upon further investigation of... More

Had another opportunity to eat here, said that no one had paelou today, but had some really great pork stew with macaroni pie and callaloo. It was fantastic! Again, this is not a fancy place but really has great atmosphere. Walk through and look at all the 'stalls' first to see what everyone has, then make your selection. If you're... More

We loved this place, good wholesome local food and pretty cheap. There are plenty of places inside to choose from which makes it a little difficult to know which is better (as tourists) so we plumped for the place with a bigger queue. Between us we had; Fish stew, callaloo, bean stew, brown chicken, macaroni cheese and vegetables. All excellent... More

Femmes du Chalet was previously known as the Breakfast Shed and some individuals continue to call it by that name. This institution started out as a group of women preparing meals to serve to men who worked on the port off loading ships, as such they served large portions for men performing physically hard work. This tradition of large portion... More

Didn't stay to sit and have lunch but opted to do take away. It is local trinidad and Tobago Cuisine. Blue Food (provisions), Macaroni/Corn Pies, Green Fig/Potato/Garden/Pasta Salads,Callaloo, CooCoo...etc...you name it they have it. They are located on the Port of Spain International Financial Waterfront - between the San Fernando Ferry Terminal and Hyatt, Port of Spain, Trinidad

About 3 blocks from the cruise port and short walk to this "Original Breakfast Shed" located right next and passed the Hyatt hotel is a collection of small stands ran by local people with their own unique style of local cooking. The local tourist guides all around the port can direct you to the place. You order the food by... More

An array of food stands within a cafeteria-like setting, some have claimed that this is one of the best places to experience local Trini cuisine at it's finest. Situated right next to the actual Port, this has traditionally been a place for the Portsmen to grab a bite to eat before their long days at the Port. Though it is now a place where many Trini business people will stop by to grab some delicious and quick. Inside, they host everything from refreshing fruit smoothies to some of Trinidad's local classics that you can not easily find at street vendors' stands. Not to mention, it sits right on the water and provides some excellent views.
