We came across Azucar by chance as we were staying near the restaurant and saw the lights from the street. We ate there twice during our week visit as we enjoyed ourselves so much the first time. The tapas makes use of local products and provide good variety. I had a very delicious soup and salad with shrimps. My husband... More

Let me start with the positive points as they are few and will not take long. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely with outdoor seating, relaxing fountains and twinkling string lights. The only complaint I have regarding the look of this restaurant would be the large, loud industrial fans that the owner/manager insisted was necessary to avoid mosquitoes. I... More

Arrived at 8:15, dinner arrived at 10:30...only 4 out of the 5 people in our party got served. The owner/manager was completely unapologetic and extremely rude and sarcastic, and even had the audacity to argue with us when we decided to complain. Staff was very clueless and did not know any information about the restaurant or menu when we asked...they... More

Just left this restaurant, four of us, sharing Tapas. We had the Aubergine (eggplant), spicy ribs, wings, calamari, garlic prawns, patatas bravas...all were excellant ! The ribs and the patatas bravas were quite spicy, but we knew that, and loved the spice. Portions are quite small, so we had 2 servings of the prawns. Dessert was ice cream...vanilla or peanut,... From the road, its a place you cant miss on the shivan rd, especially after dark. Its well lit with string lights and lot of parking. On entering the restaurant, its so quite, romantic, not forgetting how helpful and friendly the staff are...The food is excellent, service, the same! it was an extemely enjoyable experience, one we soon wont forget!... Food was too spicy to eat. A waste of money. Service wasn't that impressive neither. Nice live music though.

This is a refreshingly different restaurant serving both tapas and full meals, so you can order as much or as little as you want. The restuarant is cooled by large fans and open on the sides, which makes dining there a pleasure in the heat of Tobago. The tapas were amazing, three or foud each are more than enough, and... More

I went to this restaurant twice... the first time for the full restaurant experience to see what it was all about (appetizer, main course, drinks, dance) and after concluding that the food was crap but the drinks nice, I went back with some friends the second time for some drinks only. Foodwise, they do not have a very talented chef... More

Instead of all inclusive hotel buffet food, we ate five nights in a row at Azucar because of Andrew, Travis, the rest of the staff and the really great food. You can't stop eating the different tapas served. My wife even had special ordered chicken curry cooked by Andrew's brother! We look forward to returning on our next visit!

At 9.00pm we entered the restaurant. After being escorted to our seats and served a glass of water, the supposed to be waiter returned to take our order some fifteen (15) minutes later. He did apologize. Then the extremely unacceptable wait. It was forty (40) minutes after the waiter came and said the dinner was on its way and asked... More
