On a recent trip we rented a beach house in walking distance to Da Conch Shack. Here is my honest assessment of our dining experience: Fantastic location with water views from everywhere The evening vibe on Friday night featuring live music was EPIC The customer service was very good but we also made a reservation so we had no wait The Conch was too chewy and we had it many ways fried, boiled and in a stew but it was not our cup of tea The rum punch which basically taste the same all over the island was 10USD for each small cup or 40USD NOT impressed at all with punch or price My suggestion skip the Conch, order the fish tacos and jerk chicken. SKIP the rum punch and order ANY of their fruit smoothies with rum. So amazing.

What a treat! Conch shack came highly recommended by all locals we spoke to, (always a good sign), yet we could never have expected the beautiful people, delicious food and tranquil beauty of this place. Our waitress (Necia) noticed we were having struggling with a cranky 5 yr old, she calmed him with a sweet and friendly tone and took special care, bringing him fresh tropical ‘magic’ drinks from the bar that he is still talking about today! The ribs, jerk chicken and seafood ginger pot are all exceptional. An elegantly tranquil and music free environment allows guests to dine amid the sound of waves and quiet conversations. Thank you Conch Shack, we will see you all again next year! The Bird family- Philadelphia PA

We visited here after many recommendations. There is free parking. The service was too relax for us as we are accustomed to frequent "check-ins". However, in this case, we literally had to flag someone down for assistance each time (i.e., place order, get WiFi code, get check, pay bill). but they were friendly. The food was fresh and tasty at a reasonable price ($12-25) with adequate portions. .It seems to.be a fave for locals too because several were getting there to-go orders throughout the couple hours we were there.

Everyone, locals included, recommended the Shack, and we were excited to come try it out! The cracked conch app was excellent, very fresh and light. Ordered the local grilled lobster, then our server had to come back and tell us they were out. We had heard the islands weren't catching lots of conch because of the stormy weather, and maybe the lobster was the same. The fish we ordered in replacement was okay, nothing noteworthy, and then we ordered the wonderful, refreshing, tart key lime pie for dessert (a little whipped cream on top would have been a good addition). The atmosphere here could have been very cool, if we had had longer sunlight and better weather; we couldn't even sit on the beach or deck due to strong, chilly winds. We'll give Da Conch Shack a try another time, later in the year, when there's warmer, more party oriented weather.

Fun ambience but didn’t care for the stray dogs hanging out at the tables. They had only conch appetizers. The vegetarian curry was cold when served (supposed to be hot) and the curry sauce was watery. Also an expensive $16/person can ride each direction from Grace Bay. I would not go back.

Had heard so much about this place. In fairness, we visited at a time when conch wasn't plentiful. Even so, for $9 I had approximately 3/4 of a cup of conch chowder, with a tomato base, conch, tomatoes and carrots. Tasted ok, not great, but wasn't worth $9. And, when the conch salad arrived ($21) and I saw how meager it was, I asked the waitress to take it back. Plus, lots of stray dogs hanging around....some people like that, but not me.

Did not live up to its hype. Food was ok. Service was horrible. We waited 10 min to place a drink order with the hostess bc the server was not around. Took another 30 Min for someone to take our food order. We were told one meal that was ordered would take 25 min to make and it was more like 50 min. Maybe it was an off nigh but they did not seem to be organized. I could see this being a fun day drinking spot, but our dinner on Dec 29, 2019 was disappointing. Wouldn’t make the effort again.

da Conch Shack was recommended to us and we specifically went for the fresh cracked conch, which they did not have and ran out, it was only 7pm at night. The food we ordered was very good which included jerked chicken. The tables are set up on the sand and during our mean, a mouse ran across my son’s foot, which was a little disturbing.

I hate writing a bad review. I visited da Conch Shack a few years ago for lunch and had such a good experience that I had high expectations for the Wednesday night party as advertised. Reservations were at 7 and upon arrival, the experience was going down hill with van loads of people being dropped off creating a bottleneck at check in. After getting seated around 7:10 or so on the beach in a great two top, we ordered pretty immediately. Around 8pm we got our first drink. And as tables around us we’re getting their meals and turning over, we knew something was wrong. The waiter came to check on us a couple times and finally after 9pm we got our meals. The ribs were cold and one meal was not what we ordered but ate it anyway because we were so hungry. The live music was quite the distraction and not what we expected. Overall, this felt more like a tourist place on Wednesday night. My recommendation would be to go during daylight hours so you can walk along the beach and see the mountains of conch shells and enjoy the ambiance and food without all the crowds.

We are sorry you didn't experience our usual high standard of service. While we are very busy on Wednesdays, that is no excuse - every guest is important on every visit! We hope to do better on your next visit.

We cancelled other reservations to come to the conch shack on a Wednesday night because of the music and heard so many others talking about going that night, that was our first mistake! So crowded on a Wednesday night! First off they couldn't find our reservation which we had an email confirmation on our phone so kind of had a little attitude with us right off the bat. Then we were seated we waited close to 2 hrs for food!! Had to keep asking for water, ice, drinks, it was clear people seated after us was getting food and we were not. I understand the whole island time thing and I am a very patient person but come on, asking for water? 2 hrs? When we finally did get food. My fish tacos were cold, rice was cold, disgusting didnt even finish it truthfully just wanted to get out of there. Husband had burger said it was good. Definitely not a good experience for us. Maybe a better experience on another day dont go on a Wednesday night!

Definitely loved our experience at Da Conch Shack & Rum bar except they were out of Pina Colada... their rum punch is best on the island and their blended drinks otherwise were great. the food was satisfying and although consistent with the fried seafood varietal present on the rest of the island, I felt they did it better. In order of tastiness: conch chowder (not creamy, more like a stew), fish tacos (blackened), cracked conch, wings were okay. The view is gorgeous off the beach. They also have a huge collection of conch shells you can take with you for free although word of caution... make sure you clear the shell completely void of any conch bits/meat or not your car and subsequently home will have such a horrible smell... consider yourself warned :)

Am I ever glad I included Da Conch Shack on my 2 day trip to this spectacular island! When my waitress recommended shrimp as one of their best options, I told her I’d unfortunately developed an allergy to shrimp in the last year. I ordered the jerk Chicken and rum cake. A couple of minutes later, the waitress returned to advise that the jerk chicken was prepared in the same utensil as the shrimp...she wanted to make sure I’d be ok, I encountered this incredible service throughout my visit !!! Now, the jerk chicken with jerk sauce was simply one of the most amazing dfishes I’ve ever had!!! The seasonings and sauce were out of this world! The rum cake was savory as well! Run to this local gem in a beautiful setting!

Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The Chicken Taco's were delicious. They are a little spicy so don't add the Pepperjoy sauce unless your taste buds can tolerate the heat. There are 3 soft tortillas shells and besides the chicken they come with bell peppers, onions and coleslaw. The black beans and rice were also very good. My wife liked her cracked conch. I had the Virgin Mango smoothie and my wife had the Virgin Passion Fruit. Both were delicious and a good value for $6.00. Service was good and the view was great. As a bonus, we got to talk to the Conch Fisherman and they gave us a sample of fresh Conch. They also demonstrated how they crack the conch and pull the conch out. Overall a great dining experience.

We were starving after a long journey to TCI. I had heard of Da Conch Shack from this forum. It was only a few minutes away from our Airbnb though I bet most people from Grace Bay have to drive 15-20 minutes. We arrived around 3pm. Big parking lot right off the road. Hostess asked if we had reservations, we said no, she looked at her book and then took us to a table under the awning as there were rain clouds in the sky. Most of the tables were out on the sand right by the water, each with a beautiful conch shell. All entrees are about $36. Ordered and food came in about 25 minutes. A large group of love buggy tourists left about that time after their lunch which is part of their tour of the island. All the conch dishes on the menu were super fried which we wanted to avoid. We got the red snapper with curried vegetables and the jerk ribs - both were very delicious but normal size entrees for a pretty steep price. We couldn’t find a waiter for the bill. Finally got it taken care of. Go during daylight time so you can enjoy the views of the water, pink and blue tables with conch shells on them.

Everyone we know who has ever been to Turks told us we needed to stop at da Conch Shack so we took their advice and gave it a try. The taxi from Seven Stars Resort round trip was $60 which was definitely expensive. For food, we ordered the Conch Fritters (best we had on the island), Jerk Chicken, and Fish Tacos. All of the food was excellent. The atmosphere is very good. Sitting on the beach and looking at the beautiful ocean is one of the sceneries that cannot be beat. Overall, the food, the service, and the scenery is great. It is family and kid friendly. If I can offer two recommendations, bring bug spray as you will need it and get the conch fritters!
