Had a wonderful "local" lunch. The service was great as well as the food and drinks. Enjoyed the local flavor!

Thank goodness someone pointed to the narrow alley that Galdys' is in because we would never have found it otherwise. I am not certain whether we enjoyed Gladys' more for the food or the setting or the ambience or our waiter. All equally, I'm sure. If I'm ever in St. Thomas again, this is the one place that I will... More

We had to make a tough decision during a downpour whether or not to slosh through the river in the alley and brave the waterfall from the roof to get into the tucked-away entrance to Glady's from the waterfront side of the street. Was it going to be worth it to come in drenched? Yes! It was! Our tall waiter... More

What a great find nestled in an alley off Main Street in the busiest shopping area largely populated by cruise ship tourists. After finding this restaurant on TripAdvisor, we made the trek over to give it a try during lunch. Finding it was a bit challenging but after asking a sales person begging us to stop in, we ducked right... More

We went there for a quick lunch. We wanted something with a West Indian flavor. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich and my wife had the conch soup. Both dishes were fantastic and hit the spot. I love the ambience of that part of Charlotte Amalie as well as the restaurant itself. We were served by an older gentleman.... More

This places is one of the must visited by locals and tourist, the food is as authentic Caribbean as it gets, it is fresh and the flavors are very accentuated, the staff is very friendly and the ambience is great, a one stop you must make while in St. Thomas, the wait is not too bad and the prices are... Went to Gladys' Cafe - ordered their highly recommended lobster salad in fresh avocado - it was terribly overpriced and awful - full of raw onion - could not even taste any lobster. The conch chowder was served with stale crackers and the waiter could not care less. We will never go back there again.

Building was Built in the 1800's. Service was awesome. My wife had the jerked mahi sandwich and it was the best I have had. I had the curry chicken and was the best I have had. This place was small and in the heart of St Thomas. I would highly recommend you eat lunch here. Prices were great.

Very quickly! This is a must do! The food is great! The service is friendly and you get to see a little bit of what local people enjoy while visiting! It's clean and the staff is friendly. Try their hot sauce in a Bloody Mary for some mouth watering deliciousness. Mines watering right now just typing out this sentence... Very... More
