While on vacation in the Virgin Islands with friends we had occasion to have dinner on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Estate House Restaurant at Caneel Bay Resort. I have eaten here before and always enjoyed it and thought of it as an upscale dining experience. Sadly, this time was different. There were four of us dining, two of... More

The restaurant is lovely with all the open doors and the grounds are beautiful. The food was good but not outstanding. The service was not good. Dishes weren't removed promptly and drinks weren't refilled or even offered to be refilled. It seems like they might have been understaffed. Our waiter was also busing tables. We don't usually complain or write... More

Go for the Tuna, Crisp on the outside and rare on the inside. Very flavorful. Relaxing and elegant. Don't remember what the other in our party had because I was too involved with mine but there were no complaints.

Open on Sunday's only during off season. We very much enjoyed the ambiance with a wonderful breeze that flowed through the open air seating high on the hill. Food, drink, and service were excellent. The beef tenderloin and jumbo shrimp were prepared perfectly and the desserts were so good. Will definitely be back the next time we visit.

We had heard a lot about this restaurant and were staying at Caneel Bay for the weekend so we decided to dine here and were so happy we did. We both had delicious cocktails. They make a mean caipirinha - so good we each had 2! I had the burrata, which was delicious. Hubby had mussels or clams (can't remember... More

We ate at this restaurant last night. The salads were great and until the restaurant got more crowded the service was fine. However, our steaks were awful- dry and lukewarm. Plus our sides didn't show up until 10 minutes after the steaks arrived (and after asking two servers). Food quality was medium to low- I feel like Outback Steakhouse could... More

We went for dinner at 6:30 pm & the views were beautiful. The food was excellent. All items were al a carte (entree/salad/vegetable/starch) I had the Beef tenderloin & it was delicious! You are driven to the restaurant via minibus or golf cart so allow time and arrive 20 -30 min early. Definitely a highlight in our visit.

This used to be a premiere restaurant years ago. It is only occasionally open now, and the service and food are fair at best. They can't compete with the newly opened ZoZo's, which has taken over management (private) at Caneel Bay's Sugar Mill restaurant. Service is poor: you can't have three courses in less than 3 hours.

On our first visit to Turtle Bay, my boyfriend and I shared the arugula salad, jumbo shrimp, the filet, the chocolate torte, and a glass of red wine. The food quality and quantity was very impressive, the service was good, and the atmosphere was sophisticated yet unpretentious. The experience was so good that we came back a few nights later... We arrived at Caneel in the late afternoon. We went straight away to the concierge to make our dinner reservations for the week. We were pleasantly surprised that the Estate House had availability. This was our first visit to Caneel, but friends had recommended we try it. It was great. The atmosphere, like most of caneel, was so relaxing. We sat... More
