We found this venue when the more prominent restaurant in Mongoose Junction was closed. It is up several levels and its six table actually occupy a walkway. But the lunch menu was what we wanted, and the food turned out to be very good. The...More

This is definitely one of our favorite places to eat on the island of St. John! It baffles me that such fresh, delicious, and well prepared food comes out of a tiny truck! Don't let that deter you!! There are nightly specials which are out...More

Thanks for the visit and the AMAZING review. The New York Times made us a Travel & Leisure pick for St. John. In the review, the writer said "A remarkable menu for a kitchen the size of volkswagon beetle". I think it was Hemingway who...More

We ordered the fish tacos, and soup/cheese sandwich. While one might not think soup in the warmer climate - it was a fantastic corn chowder. The seating is outdoors and has umbrellas. Beware of the mosquitoes - I got three bites on my legs while...More

So glad you enjoyed-- and sorry about the mosquitos. We've had some big rains and right now, they are everywhere. Always a good idea to have some bug spray in the topics, particularly at sunset. Thanks!

Great outside cafe, with only a few tables in a charming shopping plaza. Recommended by locals, the menu made choosing difficult. Quesadias we're delicious.

We always have lunch here when shopping at Mongoose Junction. Food is good and a bit pricey. Most places here don't take American Express and this no exception. Friend had Ahi tuna and said it was great. I had pulled pork special..very good.

Sun Dog Cafe is a great casual dining option, and home to the Gecko Gazebo, our open air bar overlooking the gracious center courtyard of Mongoose Junction. A New York Times Travel and Leisure Pick for St. John, we serve lunch daily, dinner on weekdays, and brunch on Sunday. Don't Miss the Sunday Night Jam, from 6 to pm, a great musical event with local and visiting talent. Welcome!
