This was a restaurant my husband and I had been curious to try since we come to the island each year. Finally we decided to give it a try. We ordered 2 different salads and 2 pasta dishes to share. Since we were not sure on portion sizes, we got a appetizer size and a dinner size pasta dish. The... More

By mid-week on St..John we were tired of fine dining, although every restaurant we visited was fabulous. So we tried da Livio and liked the change of pace. We enjoyed simple salads and hubby went traditional with chicken Parmesan, which he liked. I loved the squid ink pasta with clams and mussels, although the latter were a bit overcooked. This... It started with waitress asking us if we would like our bread now...only to the charge us for this stale bread, (BREAD IS ALA CART? REALLY!?) then she said the gnocchi entree is huge and the app is very small. The OVER PRICED, so called "huge" plate of gnocchi was only 10 small gnocchi's on a HUGE plate. The place... More

We stopped by Da Livio on our last evening in St. John after happy hour-ing as we weren't in the mood for a big (or expensive) dinner. We grabbed a Diavolo pizza to go and I ordered a wine. When the pizza was ready more quickly than expected, I asked for a to-go glass. The bartender learned that he was... More

We enjoyed this. The bread is amazing as were the entrees. Service was great, making this a great option to the other restaurants. Only watch out is that the pasta entrees are smaller than I would expect.

We enjoyed our evening at da Livio. We didn't try the pizza, but instead dined on entree size pesto gnocchi and linguini with mussels and clams. Both pasta dishes were outstanding. Rated four stars because we found it a bit overpriced for portion size (yes, even after adjusting for St John pricing).

If one wants a change from Caribbean Fusion Fare, you may want to consider da livio italian restaurant. It is unpretentious with both indoor and outdoor seating and a wood burning oven for pizza. The menu also includes pasta dishes as well as chicken and veal dishes and salads and all are fine but nothing spectacular or to run back... More

Everything on the menu is homemade and wonderfully authentic. The owner/chef Livio hails from northern Italy and takes pride in serving fresh, delicious pastas and entrees. The service is friendly and unhurried. Desserts are house made and delightful. While the pizza is delicious, I would encourage you to explore the entire phenomenal menu. Absolutely the best on the island!

My family came for good Italian, but results varied greatly, unfortunately. My husband lliked his pizza, good crust but needed additional porcini mushrooms. However...This restaurant states they offer gluten-free options....but reality was limited. Yes, they have a GF pasta you can substitute, but I wanted a meat entree, and was told no, I couldn't have chicken parmesan since the chicken... More

Very authentic Italian. The bread and olive oil were delightful. The Carpacciata was dynamite with some excellent Parmesan cheese. Pizza was excellent. Only item we had that we felt was a little flaccid was the Tiramisu
