Excellent service from friendly staff, and a fantastic meal was had. Would definitely recommend again and we shall certainly be having fish and chips again from the cafe (which is also a takeaway) before we leave Amble.

Having had fish and chips before from this chip shop we joined the queue to have them again. The queue was outside the shop but we decided to join we moved quickly and had a short wait for the fish. We sat outside to eat them in the sun . However we where very disappointed the chips were no problem,... More

We had takeaway fish and chips (rather than a sit down meal in the adjacent cafe). The lunchtime meal was served quickly and the food was good (but not great). We were surprised to find, given the shop's harbour side location, that our local chippie (in Darlington) is better.

I was visiting England with my husband so he could see some friends and family. While staying in New Castle we decided to take a ride up to the sea. Our friend knew about this place so we stopped in for fish and chips. It was SOOOOO good! The staff was super friendly and the price was riduculous! 4 of... More

Every year in January we go to Amble as a family of 10 for my Grandad's memorial. For the last 4 years Amanda the Manageress has reserved tables for us as the cafe is always heaving! This year we were tight on time so when I rang last week to book our table she told me to call the night... More

The price appeared to be average for fish and chips until our order arrived and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The chips were a mix of ok sized chips and scraps of potatoe, the batter was very tasty and crisp but once past the batter the fish was disappointment number two. Small in size and not tasting... We attended on new year's day. Met by rude staff and charged cafe prices to take away because "it was new year's day". Got to the car and opened our 'food'. Fish was tiny, mince pie was hollow and tiny. Battered sausage looked 2 weeks old. Cost us £19.30 !! Even the dog wouldn't eat it!!

Visited this cafe at lunch time on bank holiday after Christmas with my partner and daughter. We had been for a lovely walk at Druridge bay and came across this place on hunting for a chippy. The queue was outside the door. Cafe located by the harbor which attracted us. We went for the takeaway options rather than sit in... More

After a chilly winters stroll along the beach front this is exactly what we needed! The best chip shop chips we've had in a long time, fresh and crispy and just the right portion! Liked that the scampi was cooked fresh to order, however the small battered sausage was perhaps a little too small for a fully grown man, probably... More
