Ursula (the chef) and her husband run a very sweet family-owned establishment. The place is impeccably clean and Ursula’s cooking is healthy (I.e. there are many menu items that are not deep fried) and varied. Highly recommend the lobster salad. The cooking is very good. If there is a menu item or food that you are interested in Ursula will literally go out of her way to prepare it (with advance notice, of course). Well worth a visit!

Absolutely best food! We traveled trough Bimini, Nassau, Long Island and Staniel Cay and stayed at good resorts, we ate both at the reports and also drove around to try different local restaurants.
Those are the best meals we had in the whole Bahamas.
We stayed at Cape Maria and had a rental car, one of the reception staff recommended this place. Give them a call to make sure they are open! We went there once, and then went tree nights in the row. We loved it! We went for lunch there as well :-) Kenny is very kind and fun person, he will play you music at the deck and his wife is an amazing cook!
We had grilled fish in the foil both nights and it was so so delicious! For lunch we had fish stew - the same thing, amazing!
And my boyfriend is a picky Italian who is quite rarely happy with food 🙈 I actually never even saw the menu, we always just hang out at the deck and asked what is fresh, they can grill meats as well I believe.
We went in low season, and there was barely anyone in local restaurants, majority of tourists just ate at resorts.. It is a shame, we had food at Cape Santa Maria resort and it was very average and you pay twice more.. If only people knew😊

My husband and I were staying at the Cape Santa Maria Resort and wanted to go out for dinner one night. A taxi driver named Rod told us about it. On a side note, Rod was awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable and funny! For these reasons when we needed a ride to the restaurant, we requested Rod. He picked us up on time and when we got to the restaurant, said he would wait for us and take us back. Unbelievable service! We also requested Rod for our trip back to Stella Maris airport on our departure. Again, he was fantastic.
Ok, back to the wonderful restaurant. When we arrived, we headed to the deck bar for a drink before dinner. We were greeted warmly by Kenny, the owner who was also bartending. We had a great time with Kenny! He was friendly, funny and just a pleasure to talk to. Ursula, Kenney’s wife appeared to present us with our dining options. She was beyond lovely and we told her to make whatever she wanted. We knew we would not be disappointed and we were not! The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned and downright delicious!
We are definitely planning on returning to the island, and when we do, we will be looking forward to visiting The Eagles Nesting Restaurant again!

A couple friends and I went to Eagles Nesting last night. It was my third time and their first. Warmly greeted by the owner/maître d/waiter, Ken. He provided great service all evening. He was friendly but professional, attentive but unobtrusive. Perfect! The food was truly unbelievable. Two of us had Lobster Thermidore and the other had Mahi Mahi. All were perfectly prepared and presented. The sides of vegetables were even cooked flawlessly. We wrapped up with Guava Cake with Rum Sauce. Chef Ursula even came to check on us to make sure everything was perfect. It was. Truly perfect. Highly recommended.

Ursula cooked for our wedding at the last minute a few years ago 2014 before the restaurant. Everything was perfection and even took care of our vegetarian friend. I'll never forget her as she really made everything special. I really hope to eat her cooking again soon. Ain't no cook like a Bahamian cook..

Eagles eyes Kenny is arguably the best bonefish guide I have ever met and a great teacher too. What a shame his restaurant and events business has lead to him give up (temporarily I hope) the guiding business. It took a couple of visits to find Kenny open after a misunderstanding with tarpon fishing- before we had a great few hours with him in his new bar and huge decking area. Kenny is a great bon viveur and fascinated us with stories ranging from politics to bonefish. The restaurant wasn't open - wife visiting Andros for crab fest but Kenny rustled us up some burgers and I can honestly say I've never eaten a better burger even in america. All the best for your business - but we won't be going to the nightclub events - sound a bit wild for us old timers.

We had a very special dinner on Thanksgiving by the extraordinarily talented Ursula. Every bite was wonderful. Then we enjoyed a fun karaoke party on the deck behind the restaurant. We love this place.

Stopped by on my trip and wasn't disappointed. The food is so good and we love the owners. Ursula is an excellent chef and makes a beautiful presentation. Try the key lime pie!

This was my first time to try Eagles Nesting and it was so good that we ate there four times during our stay. Excellent food and reasonably priced.

We stumbled upon Eagles Nesting while exploring Long Island. What a find! Kenny and his wife have developed an excellent menu. It is worth noting that the crabs cakes may be the best I have ever enjoyed! The four of us were very pleased with our menu selections.
They forewarned us that everything is prepared from scratch, and therefore it will not be "fast food". If you have any time constraints, it would be best to phone in your menu selections. However, if you have time constraints, you would probably not be on Long Island. So, enjoy the outstanding food, the friendly owners and the clean/comfortable dining room. And..a good value.

Owned and run by a husband and wife team. He is the waiter, she is the cook. Menu is limited and a mix of local and American foods.
I had the roasted chicken breast, and my friend had a seafood Appetizer and a cheeseburger. Both were fantastic! Portions were good, and cooked to perfection.
We will definitely return often while we are here.
Prices were good by Bahamian standards. A good value and great food.
