Once we set foot on new "land" we ask the locals where [they] like to eat, where are the best baked goods, fresh local produce... .. Sent to Erica's bakery. Actually told to "follow my nose" to find her place... Atop a hill over looking all of Clarence Town Erica is taking care of the local's sweet tooth! Delicious breads, rolls, cakes & bars... also provides some basic grocery store items, great smiles and local sip sip. When visiting: Find her. <3 Joanna from MI USA

If you eat anywhere in the Bahamas this is the place to visit. Rated by best taste: 1) The Rum Cake is better than anything in a box. Get it warm and it is absolutely amazing. This was the best food I had in Long Island and in Nassau. It made my top 5 deserts in my life! 2) The banana bread is on point. I had to come back the next day to get it. 3) Pound cake is amazing 4) Chocolate pound cake is super tasty Insanely cheap too, the staff is so friendly and nice! They have homemade Italian ice in the back, in different flavors, just ask for it.

It took us awhile to find Erica's, but once we did we were hooked. We weren't staying in Clarencetown so we only got to visit twice and everything was amazing. Oh, that rum cake!! Everything she bakes is divine. We would walk out with a bag of various sweets and then not need lunch because we gorged on Erica's delicious treats. During our next trip I will probably be stopping by every single day :)

We stayed in the north at CSM this time while visiting Long Island, but decided that before we head up north for the long drive we will stop at Clarence Town area, where we stayed during our original June 2021 visit to this beautiful island, and of course stop at Erica's to pick up some of that amazing Banana Bread! We added some Marble Cake (they had also Pound Cake, and Raisins Cake) and this ended up our amazing breakfast the next day at CSM :) - the table picture is from that resort, not to confuse with Erica's - which is basically a grocery store (selling some small souvenirs as well) inside Erica's house on top of the hill with a nice view of Clarence Town. TIP: still cash only, $3.5 per piece, so for $7 we had amazing dessert/breakfast - the pieces are big and very rich! trust me you will love it

Erica is one of the many kind and endearing people we met while on the island. She has great prices on her groceries, and her cinnamon rolls are to die for. She is always welcoming and keeps a smile on her face that will bring a smile to yours as well. We returned to her shop many times while we visited the island, even when we really didn't need anything!

Drove to find this place. Easier to find when you are driving back from Gordons since you can see the sign. By the time we got there in the afternoon, there was only a couple of items left but there was some rum cake left and we had that. Probably the best rum cake I have ever tasted and I have had a few rum cakes in my time. Worth finding the place.

This place is absolutely the place to go for incredible baked goods, smiles, laughs and local information. A very basic selection but enough variety to please. IF there are lemon bars, buy them all. Incredibly good! Not easy to find but ask any local for directions.

It's no secret that getting a breakfast in Long Island is difficult as it's just not that type of vacation island so the next best thing is going to a local bakery - this is where Erica's comes to save your day! It's cash only but the least expensive place on earth - for 3 pastries; coffee cake, lemon bar and the delicious and absolutely outstanding banana bread we paid $7!!! It's probably the least we ever spent on any "breakfast" while on vacation, and it was delicious! The place is also a store and you can find many grocery type of items here so super convenient, especially since it's open daily 7AM to 6PM. TIP: For me the cherry on the top would be a coffee served at Erica's but they are not a restaurant but a bakery and a shop run from an inside of Erica's home from what it looked to us, so don't expect tables or service here, you buy your items and go - we ended up returning to our hotel and enjoy our bakery goods with some tea and coffee made by ourselves :)

Love this little shop! You can buy groceries here as well. Bought a warm loaf of bread- it was a white bread which was moist and slightly sweet. Great for toast! Banana bread was delicious!

Erica has a wonderful shop, loaded with mouthwatering homemade baked goods as well as ice cream. There's also a variety of necessary staples, all reasonably priced. She even carries a few locally made plaited straw items. If you're in Clarence Town look for the charming bright orange shop, at the top of the hill by the dock.

We always make this a stop for sweets. The rum cake is so moist and tasty. We also love the different breads that are available for purchase.
