I was visiting family on the island. We went out for a meal here, there was a good choice of meals including meat, fish and vegetarian options. I would recommend a visit here if you are staying on the island. Service was good and we were overall very happy.

We visit Coll regularly while sailing in the Hebrides. A major attraction of this beautiful island is the imaginative, delicious and reasonably priced cooking which Julie Oliphant delivers so consistently at the Hotel. Locally caught seafood is the speciality and has never disappointed. The welcome is always warm and the service friendly, and the view of the harbour is delightful.... More

Had dinner here with our son & friends. Food was really lovely, plenty of choice. Our son recommends the haggis won tons! The seafood is fresh & there's plenty to be had. Very impressed with the qualify of the food on such a tiny island. Also a good choice of wines & beers.

Coll is fairly remote and Arinagour is very small, with places to eat very scarce. The Gannet is the only proper restaurant. That could be an excuse for lacklustre service and average food. How refreshing to find that it was not the case at all. The food was very good to excellent and the service friendly and attentive. For the... More

What can I say - can only say that I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service is excellent, friendly and most accommodating. The dishes we had were fabulous and beautifully presented. Lovely evening enjoyed with friends.

We booked a table in the Gannet Restaurant for our wedding anniversary and had a very pleasant dinner. Starters of tempura squid (him) and salmon mousse parcel (me), followed by a lovely main of scallops. Himself enjoyed a fine looking Eton mess whilst I had one of the best cranachans I have had in a long while. Reasonable prices for... More

They really bent over backwards and served us even though we were at least half an hour later than their last orders in the restaurant. The food was wonderful and of a much higher standard that one could expect from such a remote island location. It's also the island pub so the atmosphere is great.

Our first visit was at a wet lunchtime and we enjoyed big bowls of tasty soup and excellent, reasonably priced sandwiches. We returned for dinner another day and the staff cooked one of us a 'special' which had been on the board on our previous visit. The portions were very generous and, unusually, we could not even manage a dessert... More

A wonderful example of keep it simple, fresh and local. The small kitchen produces superb seafood and other dishes to a consistently high standard , not cheap but worth every hard earned groat.
