This is probably a place you should visit if you are an acquaintance of the Vivoni family or if you are a fan of the tv chef Ventura Vivoni, otherwise steer clear and go to almost any other place in Adjuntas. The food is well...plated, nothing extraordinary, just the usual smears of one sauce or another that has become a trademark of chefs that are more adept at decorating a plate than preparing good food, and it is awfully expensive with no apparent reason except the uppishness of the owners, for the dishes and ingredients they are serving are nothing to write home about. This is no farm to table experience, though they do own a beautiful farm, most of the ingredients seem to come from a Costco bag. If you have an inkling for architecture, by all means visit their hacienda Luz de Luna, the place is well restored and carefully kept, but the food really is quite common and the service is awful, unless of course, you are a family friend, or a friend of a friend, in which case they will be rather charming. For other mortals, try Hacienda Maribo, el campo es leña, or even el original de Guigui.More

Starting with the welcoming,Mr. Edric and Mrs. Luchy were friendly and make us feel like invitees, not clients . The food was spectacular and very very creative. The “ sangria” was delicious and refreshing . Chef Ventura has a kool attitude . Definitely an unforgettable...experience.More

We went on Valentine's Day and apparently they couldn't care less about the occasion, there was a couple that was celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary and again they couldn't care less. When we got there the owner told us where to park and he was...nice enough but when we got to the "restaurant" they didn't receive us with the welcome drink as they advertised. We had to wait, when they did brought us our "sangria", which was delicious and asked what was in it, it was a big mystery and kinda dismissive. While we waited for the other people to get there I was shocked that as people arrived the owner trying to be funny, I guess, was just like putting people on the spot and that's ok for some people but you can tell that not everybody liked to be the center of attention, especially after driving 2 hours, now you have to be the comic relief in front of people you don't know when what you really want to have GREAT SERVICE and GREAT FOOD. Mind you it's $73 PER PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!! For that price my expectations were high cause in this economy it's a sacrifice. Anyway, when most of the people arrived we started on our "tour" which I thought would be like Agricultural like "farm to table" concept but no, it's about the trees that they planted. We saw on the website about the 5lbs lemons but when one of the girls of the group asked about it the owner was very short with her and told that he had already talked about it, which he didn't. Also I thought that was in very poor taste that the owner's wife "scolded" one of the guests cause her party of 14 was two people short, which I can understand can be annoying but to tell her in front of everybody that "when you make a reservation for 14, 14 should show up!" I thought that was in bad taste. On to the food, when we sat down everybody sat down where they wanted which was not bad but there was no music and no ambience per say. When we arrived we had given the waitress our bottle of wine that we brought, well we had to ask for our bottle two times and it arrived at the second course. While the food was coming out we had to keep asking what was being served cause the waitress didn't know. The food was fine, nothing spectacular, nothing came out super hot and nothing impressed me. It was meh... When we finished our bottle, we asked for some sangria, they said they were out so we asked for some beers. The waitress didn't know what beer they had but we saw one of the waitress get all the beers into 1 tray and go to another table to present them, I guess thinking it was them that asked for them, when they said no the waitress went back to the bar and started putting away the beer that's when my husband HAD to get up and go to the bar and get the beers. The service was not good! By the way as we were leaving they were serving Sangria. The coffee was good but we had to sit and listen again to the stories, we counted 3 people asleep and everybody else just looking at their watches like "when is this over". we paid $225, brought our own wine, and were COMPLETELY DISSAPOINTED!!!! it was Valentine's Day there was not a trace of love or passion there.More

First to get a tour of the place and then you go sit down to eat. Food was amazing. Hospitality the best. To pricey but well worth it.

We went to celebrate the birthday of one of our great friends yesterday. However, it seems that it was a bad day to be there, since it was the birthday party of the chef's mother. When we first arrived the tour of the gardens and...the service was great but our first great dissapointment was that the kids plates we had ordered could not be made. The only alternative was grilled chicken and white rice. No other alternative or substitution could be made. For the first two plates the chef came out, explained and it was a great experience. However after that, the chef never came out again to explain the plates, the food took forever to come out, the service was significantly diminished since we were never asked again if we wanted anything to drink. We had to stand up to go to the bar to ask for drinks. We requested some Sangria by about 5pm and they were out of sangria. We sat down to eat at 2:30, and by 6pm was when we had the dessert, it was very lenghthy, at times ridiculous since nobody would go to our table to ask if we needed anything. Overall, the food was incredible, the service was very poor and it was very expensive, I mean, $2 for a can of diet coke??? Really??? . I would NOT go again or recommend it.More

Vida Ventura is one of the best restaurants I've experienced in my life and the best culinary experience I've had in Puerto Rico. Yesterday (9/27/14), my family and I went to Vida Ventura in Adjuntas. I have traveled all over the world, and while I...can't say that I've always eaten in the most exclusive restaurants in Italy, Spain, United States (New York, Chicago) India, Ecuador, Mexico, I'd say that I know what good food is since I am always seeking to experience the finest foods. As most of us know, the best restaurants don't necessarily have to be in the middle of Manhattan or Rome and cost a small fortune. Some of the best food can be found tucked away in a side street in a small town or on the side of the curvy mountains roads of Puerto Rico. All it takes is a leisurely ride through the green hill of Puerto Rico to find this gem of a restaurant,More

Old colonial settings with service, attention to detail and flavors up to par with any international restaurant. Highly recommended if you are around the Adjuntas/Lares area or just come to eat unique Puerto Rican dishes with beautiful surroundings .
