Situated alongside Woodstock road in Yarnton, some 6 Miles from Oxford. An olde worlde picturesque country pub. Open log fires and an eclectic collection of seating and dining areas. A basic pub grub menu, with prices on the high side. Interesting selection of desserts. Not...More

First time to The Turnpike, I'll definitely be going again! Turned up without booking, we were told it might be 40 mins before we will be served, our meal arrived in 20 mins! Excellent food and service.

Good food, great service and an entertaining band playing. Even on a busy night the staff were prompt and attentive. The food was tasty, hot and well proportioned

We had an early evening meal for 4, the food was good. Sitting near the open fire was nice on a cold winter evening. It's a lovely old English pub, good value and above average.

This is a beautiful public house/restaurant situated not far from the A34 near Kidlington in a village setting. The interior surroundings were full of olde world charm, let down in places by an old fabric settee and a scruffy seating area, where someone had torn...More

The Turnpike was absolutely chocker, which meant parking was incredibly difficult. However when we arrived we only waited 15-20 minutes to be seated so that wasn’t too bad. The food was lovely, however they did mess up the dessert order but soon put it right....More
