Weekend so a long queue but so worth waiting for the really fresh bread and heavenly doughnuts, go for the raspberry jam ones if available.

Tucked away in the centre of Orford between the High Street and the Castle in a small premises, with a small cafe area and some seats outside. The bread and cakes are superb, we particularity enjoyed the Eccles Cakes. The coffee which can be drunk on the premises or taken away is good too. Gluten free is catered for. The... More

This is a great place to buy bread and pastries - the Eccles cakes are outstanding. There is a single table cafe offering a limited range of dishes. You can get a glass of wine.

Called in at Pump Street Bakery today, not impressed , overpriced food & drinks, mish mash seating arrangements and when I wanted to pay I was told I had to join the queue out in the street. Take my advice go to the pub and get a real meal.

This was the high point of my week in Suffolk! We enjoyed as many treats as possible in four days then brought bread home for the freezer. The sourdough bread is fab as are the croissants, the bear claws and our personal favourite, the sausage rolls...oh, but try the Portuguese tarts. If you are staying for breakfast in the little... We called in here for a bite to eat after visiting the castle. Great bacon sandwich with prune sauce, fresh tasting tomato soup with lovely chewy sourdough. I was intrigued by the bacon hot cross bun, which turned out to be a regular hot cross bun, split, with some fried bacon in the middle. I'm still not sure the whole... More

Had heard great things about this place and was not disappointed. Excellent coffee, sausage rolls and pain au chocolate. Nice artisan bread. So a great bakery overall but they are trying to be a cafe too. Building not suited to this since there is just a room with a long (shock horror) communal table. Freaked out lots of the older... Having seen this written up in many local magazines and experienced their excellent breads in many Suffolk venues, took opportunity to call in. As expected, busy but bread and cakes are super - Eccles cakes not to be missed! Coffees and sandwiches real quality. Café area got crowded but then it has become a magnet for locals and visitors in... More

Friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food absolutely delicious. Staff incredibly courteous and Alistair our waiter was so attentive, catering and recognising our every need but not over the top. A joy! Lovely experience. The staff in the shop were efficient and competent and full of fun! What a wonderful happy place! I can only reccomenf a visit.

This bakery although delightful and friendly was so overpriced! A toasted cheese sandwich (called something pretentious), a sausage roll, 2 coffees and 2 cakes came to nearly £24.00! No garnish and the sandwich wasn't even cut, just plonked on a plate. Certainly wouldn't go here again!
