This restaurant and bar is a very nice place to start the day before you take a tour through the polder land by boat, or afterwards.
not only for a cold drink or a beer (each time an extra brand on tap), but also for...a nice lunch or dinner. In the weekends and in summer it is advisable to prebook your table, when you wwant to have dinner outside.
There is a parking place right behind the restaurant, with places reserved for guests.More
We went for lunch with the family on a cold Sunday. De Rijp has quite a number of restaurants for such a small village. This one had quite a few people inside so we decided to give it a go. The decor is very cosy...and heavily decorated with things hanging from the ceiling : from pots to trumpets. The menu is quite varied but we stuck to the Dutch lunch classics (soups, salads, sandwiches). Every dish we ordered was very good : nice fresh products, well presented, large portions. Service was efficient and smily. In a nutshell : a great option when visiting De Rijp.More
Great atmosphere and excellent food. All kind of small dishes to be ordered by a maximum of 2 at a time and unlimited times of ordering. No way you can manage the whole menu in one evening. The waiters are young, informal, enthusiastic and above...all professional. Great food for a very reasonable price. Good to book with groups or family as well!More
Had Lunch in glass enclosed terrace which kept the edge off the wind. Nice Dutch specialities and attractive setting in this small Dutch town . Good coffee and service reasonable for a busy weekend lunchtime.
In the charming village of De Rijp, we booked this restaurant for an evening filling dinner. The restaurant suggested a walking dinner for which they serve 6 courses over a time frame of 3 hours. With 40 people they placed us in the lovely sun...room of the restaurant. The food was great as was the service. We had a most enjoyable evening which lasted for 4 hours. Well worth the money!More
We made a walking tour in this old village/city north of Amsterdam. In dire need of a cup of coffee and some lunch we arrived on their terrace in full sun. We wanted something typical Dutch to eat and ended up with KROKETTEN MET BROOD....Add some mustard to these warm rolls and you have a good lunch. Oh yes, after lunch you can rent an electric boat for a trip on the local waterways. Just do it.More
