I have visited La Marmolera twice in the last week for breakfast. It is a beautiful, quiet respite from the busy streets in La Paz. Easy to find as it's very close to the town Cathedral. The menu offers lots of choices, with freshly juiced drinks (jugos) a specialty as I noticed these ordered at each table. The coffee is... More

La Marmolera has a wonderful atmosphere - a turtle pool and lots of greenery. The food is great and the staff are VERY attentive.

Yesterday just didn't turn out to be the best food day, but it did turn out to be one of the best ambiance days. My husband's hamburger was like extremely finely ground meat loaf. I think they were trying to make it an upscale hamburger patty and perhaps it didn't turn out quite as they'd planned. It was NOT bad... More

La Marmolera is located south of el centro, in large white building across from the cathedral just south of 5 de Febrero. It's a bit out of the way, but worth finding. The dining area in the front half of the restaurant is enclosed while the back section is a spacious open air courtyard with comfortable seating decorated with lush... More

It is rather easy to overlook or miss this little treasure of a restaurant near the big domed cathedral in LaPaz. We found it to be delightful with wonderful ambience, great food, good service and excellent coffee!! A unique feature is a garden area with a pond full of turtles. We highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch any... More

We had an excellent breakfast here, very authentic. Excellent service and fresh food. I had the red chicken chilaquiles and they were delicious.

This restaurant is located just behind a church. You won't miss it, signs are pretty obvious. Service is ver friendly and fast, place is really crowded by 10 am, so get there earlier. Good, strong morning coffee, almost espresso-like in flavor. Try the bandera chilaquiles. They're outstanding.
