I know this is a popular restaurant. But I really did not have an experience that would distinguish it from the many excellent options Acapulco has. The service was polite, but we felt rushed, on a night when the restaurant was not full. From drinks to dessert, they turned our table in just over an hour. It wasn't relaxing. The... More

Carmenere is our go to Sunday dinner place. The food and service is always perfect. They provide such consistent and excellent food and service, We have never had a bad or marginal meal here ever. The salads are excellent, the smoke salmon for an appetizer is always inviting. We enjoy the complimentary soup, the wonderful breads the delicious lamb. The... More

They did not have our reservation but did give us a nice table. Service was just ok this time. We got what we ordered and the food is good, although I think the menu has changed somewhat from our last visit, but at no time did the waiter return to ask how our meal was. We were the only Americans... More

We come here for supper at least once during our stay in Acapulco. The menu is varied and provides a lot of choices. Our preference remains the steaks. Grilled to perfection. The pasta choices are also a hit. Service is polished. All in a nice and comfortable setting.

Carmenere has great food that is consistent visit after visit. The owner and chef must have their business act together. The negative on the restaurant is the setting in a small plaza with no view. However, you go to Carmenere for the food. The waiters are trained nicely with attention to detail. Since the food excellent, the locals keep it... More

Haven't been here since 2010 so I thought I would try it again. Wonderful food and service. The food was excellent and the service went beyond what was expected.

I had heard a great deal about this restaurant but had not been there. I had the opportunity last week and found it to be probably one of the best kitchens in Acapulco. Without an exceptional view but with a quaint atmosphere Carmenere delivers. The food was perfect, something you could expect in a high end big city place. Service... More

We were in heaven with the chef"s choice : a prefectly seared tuna steak served over a mango sauce. The ceviche appetizer and the calamari were very good as usual.

Carmenere is a very nice restaurant. Has no view but the atmosphere and the music are outstanding. The cuisine is international and has a wide wine list accesible for everybody. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. You won't regret coming to carmenere
