Attached to the Hotel La Siesta, service was great, food not spectacular and a little pricey but the Margarita was outstanding. Nice patio to watch the beach and passerbys while you eat.

Went for steak and shrimp last night. The steak was arrachara and was tender and tasty. It was served with a baked potato and nice veggies. I also wanted shrimp with my steak and was served a bucket of breaded shrimp on a bed of fries. Yes, it was a ton of food but I managed. With 2 margaritas, the... More

On a cruise and we walked from the Church in the direction of the ocean to find something to eat and drink. We happened upon this place and so glad we did! Matt recommended the smoked Marlin Dip with Chips and we had beer/margaritas! With an ocean view and Spanish dancing happening, this was a memorable place! We were directed... More

I think we were enticed by the name, but there was nothing remarkable here. Our meals were mediocre, maybe even overcooked. Perhaps we were turned off by a bad band playing yet another mangled version of Imagine. Whatever it was, we would be dishonest if we recommended this establishment to others.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at El Shrimp Bucket. We ordered a number of starters and their shrimp platter, with 3 different 'coatings'. All 3 were really delicious. However please bear in mind one thing, their shrimps are really not shrimps, they are fair sized prawns. In South Africa and Europe a shrimp is about 2.5cm/1inch. In Mexico we... More

Good margaritas and shrimp for a very reasonable price. Skip the American style shrimp cocktail unless you like shrimp in bland tomato sauce.

On our return trip to Mazatlan the first place we went was to El Shrimp Bucket for their coconut shrimp in a bucket with fries. Delicious. Very affordable and large portions, very fresh. We each ordered a bucket so we had left overs. It was Mardi Grais so we had to leave otherwise we would have spent the afternoon there.

We had not eaten here in four years and made a reservation for the evening of the Burning of the Bad Humor and the foreworks. Service was excellent, food was excellent and the view point for the festivities was great. We did end up stepping off of their outdoor patio area for a little better view and easier access to... The food at Shrimp Bucket is very good and not expensive. Been coming here since the 80's and will visit again this year. LOVE it. GET SHRIMP.
