Came in on a cruise ship and walked the Malacon. Came upon this restaurant. Sat upstairs overlooking the causeway and the ocean. Fish and shrimp tacos were excellent. good service.

Mixed feelings as excited to try it out. Drinks were expensive: small . Service was really poor and unfriendly... almost like we were a bother . We ordered a snack with our drinks and never got it. This is actually our second lukewarm. Experience. Doubt we will try again!

We pop in here on every trip to Vallarta. Just a wonderful, peaceful (we go during the day) place to enjoy a cigar from their little shop and obviously to partake of the happy hour 2 for 1 mojitos. The food is always great too. Very friendly staff. The building itself looks like it's right out of Cuba. You can... More

We've been to Puerto Vallarta several times over the years. This is one restaurant that we always come to. They have amazing Cuban food and live entertainment if you come in the evenings after 8 pm. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. My wife and I split a plate of Cristianos y Moros (rice and black beans), Ropa Vieja... More

The place doesn't have anything at all. We heard that they have live music and salsa dance. The music started after we finished our dinner, and they said that they have no dancers that night! The food was the most expensive meal we had in our trip, the taste was nothing special, and even worse! Not worth it at all... More

We ordered the Cuban chicken Monday and had it delivered using a delivery service, It was so delicious that we ordered it again Tuesday. This time it came. They forgot to put the sauce on the chicken and it was so dry we couldn't eat it. Not sure how to contact the restaurant so I hope they read these reviews.

This Cuban restaurant has a great location on the Malecon. Bloody Mary was very good. We shared the Paella for two and it was a very generous portion and delicious. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We came in for the great live music, but we enjoyed the food and mojitos, and loved watching the terrific dancers. This is a place for people who know how to dance and like dancing with many partners. But the whole vibe is great, even if you're too intimidated to get up and dance for yourself.

The steak and empanadas were our favorite, of course with a classic mojito. Downside is cigar smell can interfere with your food enjoyment.

This place is where it's at. Amazing live music, the mojitos are delicious and the atmosphere is great. Lots of salsa dancing going on. If you want a vibrant atmosphere this is your place. We will be visiting again!

La Bodeguita del Medio was founded in Cuba in the 1940s as a corner store owned by Angel Martinez. The store became a meeting place for local artists who enjoyed getting together for an afternoon 'Mojito'. The place has preserved the ambiance of the romantic Carribean lifestyle that flourished with Havana. Today the Bodeguita del Medio is famous world wide for Salsa music, fine cigars, its original Mojitos and having guests write their thoughts and comments on the walls of the restaurant.
