We stop here every once in a while for coffee but decided to have breakfast. My partner had eggs benedict and I had a California veggie omelet . The service was prompt and pleasant. I also had a wonderful latte. The eggs benny were excellent and had the best hollandaise sauce. My omelet was also very good, well cooked and... More

We never got our food. Waited about an hour. Waiter came out and said food would be ready in "about 10 minutes". We had ordered a green salad and 4 soft tacos. In other words, food items that are not time consuming to prepare and serve. We asked how much for the drinks and we would forget lunch. The waiter... More

Excellent coffee, they bring you real cream with it. Bread with jam or honey comes before your entree. We ordered very simple meals, mine was a traditional Mexican dish, but they were prepared perfectly. The service was thorough but not intrusive. The setting is street side cafe seating, so people watching is the entertainment. A little bit of everything. I... More

Food is good but in addition to terrible night time service they have jacked their prices up to coincide with the U.S dollar.. it's now cheaper to eat at many of the surrounding restaurants

Sorry we only quote the price equivalency in dollars next to the price in pesos as information only. Never the less your hotel prices are in dollars, your air fare is in dollars, what would be wrong for restaurants to quote in dollars? More

They have great variety of foods from Mexican to American burgers. They also have alcohol, desserts, and great coffees. The staff are very friendly, speak both Spanish and English, and the owner is there every day of the week. They have both indoor and sidewalk seating, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very popular and they also have night entertainment some times.... More

Had breakfast @ Cafe San Angel this morning...very pleased w/ the service & desayuno. Plus, the portion was generous for the cost of my Huevos Mexicano con Hot pancakes(2), frijoles, & corn tortillas for 95 pesos. It was a very tasty breakfast! Going to try their lunch & dinner menu.

On my first PV trip I noticed Cafe San Angel as it was street level on a very busy, interesting intersection, tables on sidewalk and inside the open cafe. It was always busy so I dropped in and had a Mexican style breakfast. Good coffee, fast cheerful service and a great meal. A few nights later I returned for steak... More

you will have difficulty choosing what you want! They have many delightful breakfasts....benedict eggs, mexican benedict eggs, huaraches (sandals) with eggs, eggs Motuleno. I always return to this cafe - go there several times during each trip to PV. Prices are quite good and the coffee is deeeelish.

Three of us had lunch here February 2nd 2017 & were not disappointed, taco dish was excellent and is served on a neat 'V' shaped chrome platter that made the normally messy tacos a treat to eat and season. Ice cold beer was cheerfully and speedily served in a great location for people watching among many sidewalk Cafe's..... Highly recommended😀.

San Angel Cafe (pronounced Ann hell)is an icon of Vallarta, open since 1998 it has been providing only the best service and quality foods and beverages, both to the locals and the tourist alike. We pride ourselves to be the introducers of gurmet coffee drinks to this town way before Satrbucks even knew it existed. Our concept is a Gourmet Diner, somewhwere where you can dine, wine or simply have coffee and pastries from our Calorie Gallery. We are two retaurants (separated by time rather than by space) under one roof, one is what is known by the american and canadian expats as The Breakfast Club, where you can have both, american and mexican breakfast. The other is The Hamburger Grill that features our list of very interesting burgers made with Angus Prime Beef prpared with our 20 year old recipe. San Angel is located in Olas Altas the main street of what we call the Latin Quarter of Vallarta, in a corner with a full sidewalk area where you can "watch the crazies walk by" and have fun while townspeople do their daily stuf. Come and have a delightfull couple of hours with us, and bring your dog too!
