Good, but it feels like they lost the touch, our waiter was friendly at times, the room was not full and I could see some waiters more relaxed, a sign that the occupation did not demand their attention. As for the food, all the cuts came out on cold plates, I felt a little pressured to order a larger cut, I think a 500 g piece is enough, why would I order a one kg piece? The salad already came seasoned, when we asked what the dressing was they told us none, then, once again the waiter's intermittence left us with a dish that was not to our liking.
The menu of cuts looks a little diminished. There is no good variety. the cocktail bar is quite average, the screens broadcasting a chivas game, well, it's a matter of taste, but they are not sold as a sports bar, the theme of the giant screen with the game kills the atmosphere a little bit, if they offered it in a single area, go and pass, but in the entire restaurant, quite shocking truth.
Delicious food, but the atmosphere is in decline.

Delicious, huge steaks, cooked just right. I had the bottom sirloin, and their preparation and treatment made for a tender, tasty steak that esas way too big! The grilled vegetables were perfectly cooked and served.
This review would have been 5+ stars, but these incredible steaks were served on cold plates.
This steak took a while to eat, and by the time I got near the end, it was cold.
Serving these on warm plates would allow for an extra 10 - 15 minutes to enjoy warm beef.

Down at Vidanta in Nuevo for a boys golf trip and this place was suggested. Also have one in Nuevo, but this was suggested to have a better "vibe".
Overall a very good dinner and pretty good vibe. The 4 of us shared 2 Cowboy steaks which were very tasty.
They have a great wine list but a major faux pas in my opinion is that the wine glasses are not commensurate with the quality and prices of the wines they are offering. The competitors including Sonora Grill and La Magdalena do a much better job with their wine and cocktails.
In addition, the service could also be spruced up . We were paired with 2 servers , 1 of which was her 1st week. The cocktails took ages to arrive.
I was a bit disappointed that the meat is not actually from Argentina, but mainly the USA.

The food was great. Our inexperienced waiter was horrible and should not be in the restaurant business. From passing hot plates over our heads, to serving our meal in the most inept manner.
For example, the beetroot salad we ordered as an entree came with a delicious goat cheese créma dressing. Our waiter decided to serve us, dividing the portion, leaving the créma on the main plate that was taken away. We ordered la vaca steak for 2. Once again our food was divided and served in our plates without taking the entire portion and the main plates were taken away. But the MOST unbelievable moment was when the waiter literally cut our beautiful piece of meat in 4…. He continued to butcher our steak in other clunky pieces and plopped them on our plate in triangular mismatched shapes and sizes.
Another waiter noticed and tried to show him to cut nice slices but it was too late. What a mess. Alan, show respect to the chef that made this beautiful meal, and to patrons paying for this meal. We will not come back.

The portions are very small, I ordered STEAK according to .500 grams, nothing to do with the weighing, even when cooked, it is accompanied only with lettuce salad. Vegetables, potatoes or other accessories are charged, which increases the price of the dish by up to 30% more. My wife ordered silver shrimp 500 grams (a lie at the weighing), there are 14-16 shrimp apart from small ones, salty, it only comes with lettuce salad, I ordered American coffee, portion too small. In my case I filled myself with chips and bread. The truth is very disappointed by the price Uno pays

La Vaca Argentina never fails to impress! After numerous dining experiences, we took our Seattle family for a Saturday night dinner. To a person, the evaluation of the meal ‘was superb’. We all had steak entrees, from sirloin to rib eye, and were completely satisfied. Our very capable server, Blanca, made sure our bread was replenished and our accompanying salad was sufficient for our steak entrees.

AMAZING!!!!! During our stay in Puerto Vallarta, we stayed at the Grand Venetian, located across the street from Lavaca, Argentina. The interior of the restaurant was charming and upscale, providing a 100% fine dining experience. The food was exceptional, and we highly recommend trying the whole octopus. The meat was so tender that it melted in our mouths. The service was also top-notch, and the price was very reasonable. We enjoyed dinner with drinks, dessert, and two main dishes for less than $100 for two people. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and we highly recommend this restaurant.

We came for the reviews and left disappointed. The gramercy aka wedge salad was warm. These salads are usually ice cold. The mashed potatoes were so dry. Dear lord. So dry. The mushrooms were not cooked, they were warmed in a microwave. The tenderloin steak was so salty I felt my blood pressure rise. The few steaks we wanted were out so we had to get this. We asked for medium rare to medium and this was just rare. With a tenderloin it’s harder to cook inside because of how big it is which is why we wanted the other steaks.
The waiter was good, brought out the stone to cook the steak more and we cooked the mushrooms on it so they were better.
For the price this was not a good meal. I would honestly go elsewhere for a steak.

My wife and have been eating here since 2016. We ate there twice this trip and both times were excellent, prices are fair and portions are large. First night - 1 large loaf fresh bread w/oils (free), Split a 500g New York (530p), Compari 2 shots (120p), Lemon drop (135p), Glass Chardonnay (155p) and 1 huge Caprese salad (210p), tip (230p) for a total of 1380p.
The restaurant is a contemporary design, very neat and clean and service is outstanding.

We have lived in Puerto Vallarta for years and after hearing for so long how great this restaurant is for steak we decided to go for my partner's birthday. I'm a vegetarian so didn't really expect much since it's a steak house. They did have a large.number of vegetarian options which is nice. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of any American style chain restaurant like Applebee's. It's filled with televisions all tuned to sports. My partner's steak was overcooked. It came with nothing more than a salad that was basically iceberg lettuce, a few tomato slices and purple onion with a thousand island type dressing. I ordered the tallarines pasta with puttanesca sauce. It was a huge portion of pretty much packaged fettuccine with a rather flavorless sauce. The service was inattentive and it took 15 minutes or more after finishing to remove my plate from the table. I left feeling disappointed as we hoped for a beautiful experience to celebrate my partner's birthday

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at La Vaca Argentina in Puerto Vallarta. We started with bread and 3 oil concoctions of varying spiciness, then Spanish sausage with tortillas. Our server suggested the perfect cut for a “rare” grilling for my wife, which was very tender and flavorful, as was my own steak. We ended the evening with chocolate crème brûlée topped with roasted pistachio nuts. The portion sizes were very generous and we will be able to enjoy the meal a second time tomorrow. Highly recommend La Vaca Argentina!!!

Thought we’d give this place a try again because of the good reviews.
Difficult to find your way in, the entrance is behind the car valet guy a bit weird.
Greatly nicely by front desk ladies who seated us next to a large group of guys, we quickly realized they were going to be load to asked to be reseated, not a problem.
Place is quite nice inside, but the presence of numerous large screen tv’s and the heavy bass in the music they were playing made me feel like we were in a sports bar rather than a nice steak restaurant, also the walk-in talkies of the waiters who were standing behind our table made me feel like we were in a McDonalds.
They served a loaf of bread with 3 dips that was very good.
I ordered 500g Ribeye and bf ordered Beef Ribs, was a bit shocked at the price of $10 for a baked potato, I just had the salad that came with the steak which was pretty unimpressive.
Steak had good taste but almost 1/3rd was inedible.
Bf said ribs were ok.
Would not rush to go back with so many restaurants to choose from.

While staying at Fiesta Americana resort in Puerto Vallarta we needed a restaurant recommendation where we could meet a couple not staying at the all-inclusive. Luis of the concierge staff recommended Vaca Argentina, a 5-minute walk away.
We choose a steak, which included bread, generous salad to share and a vegetable. The steak was very tender and cooked as we ordered. Cost of two entrees and two glasses of wine, $63 U.s. dollars.

On our trip to Puerto Vallarta last month (February), guests in our hotel raved about this place. We've been going to Puerto Vallarta for years and had never tried La Vaca Argentina. So glad we did! We loved it so much that we went twice. The steaks are excellent: tender, juicy and fresh, cooked to perfection however you like. Great service, great wine, great food. A little expensive but not as much as other steakhouses in the area that are not nearly as good. We also enjoyed the salads and the side dishes like the spinach and the different types of potatoes. Great atmosphere and it is so nice to sit outside in the balmy PV weather at night.
