The staff are very welcoming and allow you to watch them cook. The food was overall my favourite of all the restaurants we visited. The 7 deadly sins, the deserts where amazing. There are 7 to choose from and I had "empathy" a panacota with berry syrup. The surroundings were amazing and had loads of cultural aspects but organized in... More

We absolutely loved our dinner at La Gula! It was, perhaps the best we had on our ten day trip! The menu had a wide selection of vegetarian, seafood, and meat selections. The food was outstanding - we especially adored the Eggplant appetizer and the Grilled Octopus. As the sign outside declares: "Slow Food" be ready to spend an evening... More

We decided to have desert and a drink one night and came back the next night for dinner. There is nothing fast about this restaurant..the sign even says "slow food" outside. Excellent gourmet food presentation and interesting flavor combinations. The kitchen is visible from your table as is the street below. Located upstairs so you have a nice breeze at... More

We've eaten here at various times over our years of coming to Zihuatanejo, and the food jut keeps getting better. Local, fresh ingredients in imaginative combinations. Blackened tuna medallions - best tuna ever. Shrimp and chicken in mole - superb. Seafood cream soup - amazing. The staff are super nice, and you're up above the lively street life of Calle... More

Wonderful Fusion Food. Unique in Zihuatanejo. Located on Calle Adelita near the footbridge in La Madera. Bi-lingual service with a smile.

If you're looking for a local experience in the heart of Zihuatanejo this is the place to try. The service is warm and friendly, Rosalba the restaurant manager is the best host you'll meet. The head chef Pepe has 20 years experience in hatted restaurants and you'll definitely be able to notice this! All of the dishes are outstanding and... More

We haven't been to Zihua in seven years but we are not surprised to find La Gula as perfect as we remember it. It's quiet backstreet location is nice after the beaches. The entire meal from the delicious margaritas, starters (the eggplant WOW), coconut shrimp all terrific! Service and attention from the staff all first rate. Try and go here... More

Wow! La Gula! What a find as we walked zijua in search of dinner last night! We enjoyed an exceptional meal - starting with a little complimentary appetizer that was just a mouthful of strawberry and pate and a little fresh herb. We find wines always a challenge In Mexico but the house red was awesome and I've included a... More

Had a wonderful shrimp curry here with service to match! Dined here with another couple from our resort who had been here before it was our first time, 3 of us had the shrimp curry and asked for them to make it spicy which they did, the flavour and spice was delicious! Worth a visit if staying in Zih !
