Found while walking Calle Adelita. Hostess was gracious and inviting. Food served with beautiful presentation. Salads are large and could be a meal in themselves. I had mahi mahi with a Mandarin ginger sauce, a delight to the palate. One of the owners described upcoming...More

We stumbled upon this restaurant early this trip and returned so many times we joked that it's the restaurant we've eaten most often at in our whole lives. My understanding is that they are under new ownership and the naming of the restaurant is now...More

They have a fairly wide range of foods, and all was great, We tried a lot of different items and flavors. Desserts are excellent.

We stopped by here for breakfast and had some amazing scrambled egg enchiladas with a bean sauce. Very good food, perfect portion, reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.

From the outside, this restaurant appears to be quite small but it is just the opposite. We had shrimp and steak tacos. There were four tacos to a plate instead of the usual three. The margaritas were tasty. We will be back.

We walked down the street and decided to have dinner here. I had lobster - husband had tuna. Both meals had tasty vegetables and mashed potatoes. The service was excellent. Great atmosphere, very friendly workers. One of our best meals.

Hello Ita y Ita! We hope you are doing great! It was wonderful to see you - with our family on our visit to Zihua - and we hope to return again sometime soon - and stay in Zihua for a longer period of time - so I can do more art work and we can explore the beauty of Zihua - the area and Oaxaca! Saludos - Abrazos! Martin y Sharon DeWitt

Description
ITA Cafetería Restaurant y Arte is a hidden gem, and is located on a quiet and cozy street in Zihuatanejo. Open for breakfast and lunch, this restaurant serves authentic and traditional Mexican cuisine. The food is absolutely amazing! The meals and ingredients are fresh, colorful, clean, healthy and full of flavor. Each dish is prepared with exceptional care, pride and presentation. Come here to start your day with traditional sopes or chilaquilisimos, café and jugo. Or just stop by to sip té, read a book, talk with friends and enjoy the relaxing ambiance and Mexican artwork. The owner, Ita, is an avid collector of Mexican art, and some of it is proudly displayed on the walls. Without doubt, this is the best restaurant for breakfast and lunch in all of Zihuatanejo.
