The service is fast and extremely polite. The taste is superb The prices are average but trust me that is cheap compared to the level of service, the place, the cleaness and the taste. Dont miss the opportunity to come with friends or family

This place specializes in Yucatecan food. I visited a couple of times while in Cuernavaca, and was pleased with the service and the meal. The red snapper was especially good. Valet parking is available. This restaurant is well known, and has been in business a long time. Modestly expensive.

If yucatan food is what youre lookig for then yes, this is the place. Founded in 1955 el faisan is an old restaurant of the glory years in cuernavaca. It has all the food from the yucatan peninsula, prices are a bit high, but overall good place to eat lunch or stop on the way in or out of cuerna... More

We liked it! We had lobster, papatzules, beans with pork, cheese filled with ground meat, which was delicious! The service was excellent, food was served quite fast. The host and the waiter were friendly and helpful. I think prices a little bit expensive, but worth visiting!

This place is a must if you travel to Cuernavaca, totally out of place as its cuisine is Yucateca, meaning from the Yucatan peninsula, Mayan heritage. However, this is the one place in the whole Mexican republic where you can truly appreciate great Yucatan cucine, a must to order Papazules, Panuchos. Actually, Papa-Dzul means food or bite for the lords... More

I tasted several items on the menu including sopa de lima, enchiladas in pumpkin seed sauce, and ensalada de palmitos. None were great. And the price would cause one to expect a better dish. I wouldn't come back.

This restaurant is located in the Hotel Rio 1300. I'd heard from some guests that the food isn't good (and they were eating for free - Mexican police academy cadets staying at the hotel). Nevertheless, it was convenient for me to grab a bite there before checking out. Here are my thoughts: PROs: -the wait staff was attentive - the... More

I have been to this restaurant for over 25 years and always try to come back any time I visit Cuernavaca. I think it is the best Yucatan food restaurant outside Yucatan and I have visited hundreds of restaurants in Mexico. Important is that it is very constant quality. And whether you go for a simple sopa de lima or... More

The food was average and really expensive. The service is good. The dish "salpicon de venado" (like a salmagundi of deer) was full of coriander killing any flavour from the deer meat.

El Faisan used to be the only Yucateco restaurant in Cuernavaca, but there success made them complacent and very average. The service is slow and not always friendly and the food average; the prices are definitely to high for what they offer!
