I went to el Barco several times and always ordered different "pozoles". It's an amazing, hearty soup or stew. It has a broth (usually pork based), meat, hominy, herbs and spices. It's served with many things on the side, so that you can "doctor it" to your taste. You may add lettuce, radish, oregano, chile pepper, avocado, etc. They serve... More

Try a really mexican food: the pozole it's a traditional meal from the center Mexico. Made with corn and meat, the taste is the real taste of the ancient Mexicans.

Their pozole is regular. Nothing amazing. Like the other reviewers say, they give you ONE tostada for a big pozole. The worst thing is the service. Very very slow. We went there at night and there were 3 tables. We waited a long time to be served and a long time for the bill when the guy at the cashier... More

My partner and I had a late dinner here when we were in Cuernavaca for a weekend in early November. It's not fancy, or high end, but clean and had attentive service. We tried two kinds of pozole - red Jalisco style and green Guerrero style. Both were very delicious, flavorful and generously portioned. It's a great spot for a... More

Yes, I have been coming to this no thrill restaurant for twenty plus years when I visit Cuernavaca. They must be doing something right. It's clean, has a simple menu and it is delicious. I highly recommend tourist to try this cafeteria type restaurant.

This is not a fancy restaurant at all, but it's not pretending to be. They specialize in pozole, which comes in a couple of different varieties. I found it to be very good. I also recommend the tacos, they were tasty. The place is clean, the atmosphere is casual and family oriented, at least in the daytime when I have... More

I would like to say something else, but this is all I got: what a shady place...it is sad also. There is no way I'm coming back, plus: the food is bad.

I think this place is a must if you're in Cuernavaca. Very simple menu but in a nice setting and the pozole was just great - accompanied by cold beers and a mescal made for a great dinner! You won't regret a visit here if you like good tasting, simple food.

We had the tacos and they were delicious. I know pozole is the signature dish, but it was a warm day of shopping and the taco were perfect. The service was great, the lemonaid was cold.
