The place is not what used to be. Battered furniture, not so clean ladies bathroom, food not so tasty. Somebody please, rescue the place.

Tried this place once and was quite disappointed. The atmosphere at the entrance, before you climb a bunch of stairs, is nice, but it's all downhill from there

You won't be disappointed with the freshness of the sushi and sashimi as well as the tempura and fish options. Very impressed with attentiveness of the staff. The tempura ice cream treat at the end was a unique way to end a special Night.

I have eaten there 3 times, and it is rare that one encounters sukiyaki. The upstairs location is like being in Japan (as I remember it).

Looks a bit dark inside, low ceilings (if over 6'2" you will have to duck), mis-mash of seating - thus a cool experience - I found out later this is one of (the) old Japanese restaurant in town. The sushi, sashimi, tempura, gyoza were great! Huge amount of food for the price; fresh!; great presentation; quick; and good!. Many great... More

This is probably the oldest Japanese restaurant in Mexico City. The place looks old but the food and service are good and consistent. Not innovative or trendy. Just traditional good food. They have several section: teppanyaki, sushi, etc.

Ask Chef Alejandro to prepare some gunkans the style of Sr. Cheaz with scallops, tobiko, spring onions and spicy mayo!!! Combine your sushi with some dishes from the kitchen above specialized in grilled fish and vegetables the traditional Japanese way in skewers. Include the cod and the little fishes that are always filled with roe.

I really like this place, it has tables for Teppanyaki and Shabu Shabu. No matter what you order, you will enjoy it. Service is also very good and it is located two blocks away from the Independence Monument. They have valet parking, which is very convenient in that neighborhood. The decoration looks a little bit old, but the food is... More

I'm sure it had its glorious days (there were photos of what looks like the original Japanese chefs/ owners plastered all over the walls), but now this place is just dated, and serves mediocre Japanese food. Though we do have Japanese friends telling us that the ramen is worth trying, but the sashimi, tempura we ordered were very "Mexicanized" and... More

Very nice japanese restaurant near the maria isabel sheraton hotel. Leave the hotel, turn right, and two blocks away across the street you will find it on the second floor. Food is excellent. They have both sushi and tepanyaki. It's inexpensive and service is very good. Menu only in spanisch. Too bad a good restaurant like this is located on a place... More
