It eas a very hood experience, we arrived and there was lots of people waiting for a table but it wasn't a problem, even though the place is not so big, the service is fast and tables get free so easy. The service is excelent, they explained all the dishes, and also convinced us to get "un vuelo" a taste... More

We went here for lunch before Frida Kahlo's museum. Everything was delicious & the park view was beautiful. I had a corn soup with chocolate & nuts. A good vegetarian option. We shared the cheesy wrap appetizer they are known for - very good. Others had tacos w green local sausage, tuna, and paella.

My husband and I ate dinner and had cocktails here one evening on our trip to Mexico City. We took an uber from our AirBnB and were dropped off in the park where the restaurant is located. It was easy to find because of the photos on trip advisor and we got a table immediately without a reservation. I really... More

All I can say is great food and even better service. We sat in the patio area overlooking the park on a crowded Sunday. The waitress was very nice and took the time to explain how different dishes were made and have excellent recommendations. Would love to go back there!

Went there for dinner. Service is excellent, but it would be appreciated to have a little more room between tables. The place is overcrowded. Food was good, but not breathtaking. Prices are indeed quite high.

There is a reason we came here for dinner twice while on a 3 day business trip to Mexico City. I would say the reason was the Mezcal but actually the reason was everything! The food was amazing. The crowd was interesting, to say the least. The Mezcal, well... they are famous for it. In my opinion, one of the... More

Utterly first class service and a very enjoyable meal at this attractive restaurant in the Jardin Centenario square in Coyoacan. The meal was not heavily spiced and there were some misses amongst the hits on the menu, but overall there was a real attempt at trying different variations on the normal Mexican standards. Fabulous fig and chocolate pudding deserves a... More

Description
Founded in March 1995, Restaurant Los Danzantes is a study in contrasts: a warm colonial building constructed with volcanic stones and natural nopales surrounding it; a delightful bar carved by Joel Rendon and traditional tones of Mexican music set to a modern rhythm; and, of course, a menu that features regional ingredients shining out in fresh, innovative combinations and fusion cooking.

Neighbourhood Profile
Coyoacan
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
