That is how the owner explained it to me. However, he offered me a wonderful combination Duck dinner which compensated. And the goose patè is available. Allegedly made from domestic wild goose. The owner was so friendly that I accepted what was not available. The frozen vodka makes that most peasant of drinks seems incredibly high-class. Prices are surprisingly reasonable.... More

This a a polish restaurant. They flaunt the idea that Karol Józef Wojtyła, also known as John Paul II, had lunch there. Now, as a catholic country like Mexico adds tremendous marketing value to this establishment. The food? Abismal. Mi jefe quien era Polaco me invito.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend after a friends recommendation: the ambience it´s classic, with instrumental classical music in the background and at times with live piano playing. The staff attention it´s personal, detailed and very polite. The polish food was a first for both of us (we are not shy to try new cuisine) and so we... More

Nevertheless I live in Mexico City, I had forgoten this fine restaurant. About 25 years ago my family and I used to visit it pretty often. Yesterday was our second visit in the last three weeks. Perhaps they have to work a Little more talking about desserts, but food in general is very good and they are pride to offer... More

This is a very fine, elegant and very well attended Polish restaurant in Mexico City. Prices are high but the quality is superior. They told us they provide the menu for Pope John Paul II in his trips to Mexico. Must go if you like European fine food.

I went to lunch today with my parents. The service was good but the food wasn't what used to be. I'm fairly disappointed, my dad and I ordered the duck Kafka and it was very dry. Then, all of us ordered the cheese crepes with blueberry sauce and the crepe was burnt making it hard to enjoy. I don't recommend... More

This has been my favorite restaurant in Mexico City for over 20 years. I have always gotten great service, great food and an enjoyable time there. When I'm back in Mexico City this is the one restaurant I try to get to. Don't pass up the Polish Vodka and if you love duck, you'll love it here.
