The patio in back of the Bellinghausen must be one of most relaxing spots in the Zona Rosa. The waiters are all in white jackets and black bow ties, and the service is spectacular. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Reforma and enjoy the great food! Try the onion soup. TA calls this a budget spot. It's at... More

Nothing better than sitting in the courtyard at the back enjoying a lovely outside lunch even in December, good old fashioned professional service by waiters who know their job and excellent food - they will also get the chef to cook you something that you had or thought you remembered you had years ago, but no longer is on the... We visited for lunch and sat in the courtyard that has tables with white tablecloths and large orange marigolds - the setting is really pretty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the relaxed atmosphere. The carrot cake was the best I have ever tasted. The service was perfect. We really enjoyed the afternoon and will return.

We decided to try this restaurant as it had a lovely courtyard and a good menu. The courtyard is indeed beautiful with lots of greenery and vines growing up the back wall. The restaurant itself has an old fashioned, posh ambiance with male waiters dashing around busily providing excellent service. The food was good quality and well cooked. Generally though... More

First, just a quick warning: this place is a bit more upscale, so expect nicer atmosphere and prices to match. (It's listed in the economical part of trip advisor right now - a bit of a surprise when we showed up in t-shirts and old jeans!) The atmosphere was very nice, a pleasant patio with song birds around and white... More

What a delightful lunch in the patio back of the restaurant. In the midst of a bustling city, a charming oasis of calm. We ordered guacamole, and it was deliciously prepared to our specifications. I had the puntas de filete al chipotle, and they were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Two of us ordered arrack eras, and they claim that it... More

This place has history, they know their business. The terrace in inside the restaurant so you do not ear the noise outside. The staff know their business too, attentive, helpful but not overwhelming. The food is very very tasty, in adequate quantity and nicely presented.

My partner & I enjoy going to old school restaurants & this one was a perfect choice (Est 1915). We had to have an early dinner because the restaurant closes @ 7pm. We sat in the courtyard near the fountain. We started with a perfectly chilled martini & the fresh baked bread & butter. We then split a Caesar salad... More

Bellinghausen at zona rosa in Mexico City is a must visit if you are in the area. I have visited this vintage place since maybe 25 years ago. But it's history is far most long than that. Situated in what once was one of the most posh areas in town, which then after 1985 earthquakes, had a severe degradation; Bellinghausen... More

Bellinghausen is a traditional restaurant that in spite of its non Mexican name, has a great menu including great Mexican dishes. This restaurant has been operating for at least 50 years in what was once the very exclusive "Zona Rosa". Prices are reasonable and lunch out in the terrace is nice.
