Never a surprise at the best eatery in Mexico City . I arrived in DF at 5pm checked into hotel and walked over to Contramar. They are opened until 630 on Sundays arrived at 6pm without a reservation and thought maybe it would be slow but this place rocks from opening to closing everyday. I was lucky enough to get... More

Mixed (octopus and shrimp) Cocktail, Tuna Tostada Charred Fish Tacos Margaritas All while surrounded by the fashionable of Mexico City. I felt I was in the background of a Telenovela! This is definitely the place to eat and be seen for lunch.

Had an excellent meal at Contramar, a restaurant specializing in Mexican cuisine based on seafood. The tuna tostada was excellent - raw tuna slices with crispy leeks with chipotle cream and topped with avocado. Crunchy and delicious. The tacos al pastor based on fish (a few options available) was excellent as well, the fish nicely flavored and served with the... More

We were lucky to get a table around 5:30pm on a busy Monday. Service was excellent and food was amazing - clean flavors, good heat, and overall very satisfying.

We went there reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. Wasn't a disappointment at all. We got the tuna tostadas and tuna sashimi and the tuna was the most fresh I have eaten in my life. That other fish I don't know what it was, I didn't ask the name of it, went to the table next to us and I saw... More

A tad on the expensive side, but this is a lovely sea food restaurant in Roma. Had a lovely lunch at the sidewalk table while watching the folk walk by in the gorgeous location. Nicely shaded and the place gets busy. May be slightly overrated but glad I visited.

If you dream about Mexican seaside seafood, come here!I've been here many times before and it never lets me down- always delicious! Fresh, great variety! I even got a bit starstruck as Diego Luna was in the table next to me. (dreamy eyes) so it was a full Mexican experience!! #lovemycountry #mejicolindoybonito Ordering the tostadas de atun and aguachile de... More

Good seafood, overpriced. Not the best I had while at Mexico City, Mi Gusto Es which is much cheaper was better. The coffee with alcohol drink was great at Contramar and so was the fig tart.

I love this restaurant. I live in the US but when I come to DF there is one restaurant that I know I must eat at. The food here is reliably good, you will always get a good meal. And the service is quick and unpretensious. They will take reservations, but make sure you account for traffic in determining when... More
