The first time I went to Jaso it was surprisingly good... since then I've gone 4 more times and the last one is definitely the last one I will ever go (every time has been a little more disappointing than the previous one). Trying to have a a romantic night out I went to Jasso to find terrible service even... More

Pay close attention to the review byArturo H prior to this review. This place has seen better days. Virtually empty, very odd arrangement and layout for a restaurant. While the service was quite pleasant, the food was frankly stale. The butter even had a somewhat rancid taste. I was sick for 2 days after this meal. It seems this place... More

I rarely write reviews (good or bad - though I'm going to be better in 2017) - but this experience was so terrible and I use the word 'shocking' because this was supposed to be "fine dining" -- I had to comment to warn others. Especially since there are so many legitimately good fine restaurants in the area and in... More

I highly recommend Jaso. The decadent (but not too rich) food involves classic items prepared in original ways. For example, a seemingly simple salmon dish was perfectly executed: crispy on the outside, fresh on the inside, served with creamy risotto and plump shitake mushrooms. The service was outstanding: the food was brought out in a timely manner and I was... More

The worst service you can get is in this place. Used to be good. Kitchen still is good but not worth it.

My wife and I just finished dinner, and we are shocked. This place was awesome, in fact I proposed to her there! We hadnt been there in 10 months and OMG, what happened???? Its not as if it became an ok place (coming from a fine cuisine, one of the best in the city), its simply disgusting. I hate writing... More

Don't be fooled by the front of the restaurant, no money has been spent there, no name on the building, very little lighting on the building, the address 88 is not very big, (I thought the place was closed) and unfortunately they didn't spend any money on the ladies washroom either… But Stop… Now the good stuff ... our two... We experienced Jaso for dinner in a recent visit to Mexico city. The food was well prepared and very tasty, however, when a couple of items were temporarily missing from the short menu. The desserts were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They also showered us with extra dessert, and take home little cakes for breakfast. The restaurant... More

On arrival exactly at the time we had reserved, we were told to wait - not offered a chair of any kind. The waiter kindly talked us through the menu in English (thankfully) - while he was talking the butter arrived - but when we asked for bread, we were told it wasn't ready yet - the bread finally arrived... With recommendations from friends we made a reservation for the only time available 7:15. When we got there, no one was there. I ordered tortellini stuffed with cheese and caramelized onions in an onion broth. The tortellini were not cooked! hard as a rock. There was no broth to speak of.The waiter took the dish back and several minutes later... More
