This is an obvious tourist trap in the Centro Historico, so we were pleasantly surprised by the good food and excellent service. We had the Parrillada Chiapaneca, which is the best meat dish they prepare. It includes beef, chicken, ham, smoked sausage, longaniza and pork ribs with onion and pineapple, covered with cheese on a tabletop barbeque. It is served... More

Not a great experience, service is bad and time waiting terrible. Food is average and there are better places to eat traditional food around.

I realized after tasting the food in Oaxaca, the food in SanCristobal De La Casas does not interest me anymore. The Mole, as recommended by the staff, was just average. The Mole sauce was pretty good but the meat was not tender and juicy. I left disappointed as this was one highly recommended restaurant from the local. The price did... More

The only think remarkable about this restaurant were the fresh tortillas, the rest was pasable food. Nothing to repeat again. We had an assortment of plates and none of us really liked the food.

Wow, our hotel concierge recommended this awful restaurant to my colleague. I knew it was gonna be bad when I spotted the cheesy decor and all the gringos...it was MUCH WORSE than I expected. The most insipid tamales I've ever rated in my life...seriously! My friend ordered the the "mole" chicken (I tasted it and) was INEDIBLE, it was so... More

This was a good choice to have typical Chiapas food. The place has a nice decoration, the staff is dressed up accordingly, they have live marimba music and freshly hand-made tortillas. The food was good and served very fast and they had regional artisan beer which was good to try. One thing I believe they should change is that they... More

...... by either the food, service or entertainment. Yes, we went in as a small tourist group, but it seemed like the food was plated up ready and waiting the exception being the soup which was great. The wine, Mexican, good and excellent VFM was what kept us sitting there. The entertainment in the form of musicians was painful, not... More

This is a very nice, courtyard-type Chiapas restaurant serving local specialties. Good service and a menu of discovery made our lunch here very pleasant. Tortillas are freshly made by hand before your eyes. The only issue...the marimba players...really not needed....

Average food and service, the best thing is the fresh cheese and the tortillas... They don't accept credit card
