Great place, ready to go back! We had the Cuban sandwich, comes with sweet potato chips but we also ordered a side of fresh cut fries. All was delicious, the sandwich was perfect and the fries were hot to the last bite. Their mojitos are 3 for 2, decided to try one and was glad we did. I'd say the... More

We found this restaurant quite by accident while looking for a place to eat outside of our resort. The owner was friendly and helpful, not to mention that her dog, Cuba, was adorable. I had the 3 sliders with different cheeses in the middle. The owner was right- the blue cheese burger just about exploded! The mojito was also delicious... More

We took a boat from Cancun to Isla and being we had a Cuban in the group, we had to visit. It was a couple blocks from the pier where boats dock and a very easy walk. The food was really good and the environment was so nice looking out onto the street. Some of the dishes we enjoyed and... More

Cuban sandwich and plantains were superb, the former skirting the twin risks of blandness and relegating the flavor of the pork and the latter doing justice to the subtle tastes of plantains.

Isla Mujeres seems to be full of little gems, and we are very glad to have stumbled across Qubano. They offer a nice selection of Cuban food and their margaritas are delicious! We ordered the fried plantains to start and I was a little surprised on their appearance. Honestly I was expecting something more along the lines of plantain chips,... More

We have been visiting for the week and trying fish tacos everywhere Three of us thought Qubano's were the best we had had so far (one of us held out for the shrimp taco somewhere else). The mojitos had real sugar cane garnish! Two us us had recently visited Cuba and felt the food was better at Qubanos. Shortages there... More

So I found this place on Google, and read how everyone was talking abt the restaurant and the good food, so we gave it a try. Everyone was raging abt the Cuban Sandwich, but Vivian (the queen of the Isla Mujeres) recommended us to try the Hungarian Potatoes & the Toston Sandwich and they were both amazing. As well, we... At my daughter's suggestion I reluctantly agreed to try this restaurant as I am not a sandwich person and the menu did not look very exciting. Well...I was wrong! We ordered the tostones e riojas and the cordon blue sandwich. Fresh and flavorful! A little greasy perhaps but the flavor made up for it. Margarita was not good (probably the... More

Food was incredible. Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, wonderful dressing, hungarian potatoes...yum, sweet potatoes, green beans! Loved Vivien. Best mojito I have ever had.

This is a restaurant you must visit. The food is to die for. We had the Cuban, chicken tongo and vegetable panini. They were excellent. The most amazing was the Hungarian potatoes. The service was fast and especially friendly. The place is very clean and great atmosphere. See New York Times review. Vivian the owner is wonderful
