The Cazuelas here are always absolutely delicious. I don't know how anything else is as the Cazuelas are so amazing there hasn't been a reason to try anything else. On this visit, my mother had the one with banana (it sounded strange but was actually delicious) and I went with the Pirate Mundaca...nothing like melted cheese and salami for brunch!

La Cazuela M&J is a really cute restaurant that serves traditional Mexican dishes and is a little tucked away on Ave. Guerrero. The Cazuelas are delicious! We stopped in before hitting Playa Norte for breakfast and we both would highly recommend it. Not only is it yummy but also very reasonably priced!

FINALLY! I have been to Isla many many times and have always wanted to have breakfast at La Cazuela M&Js. I finally made it. The Cazuela Amanecer was fabulous. I ate every single bite if you can imagine that. White asparagus ham, cheese, and a fried egg on top. Wowzer, it was packed with flavor. The waiters were so attentive,... More

We have travelled to Isla over five times in the last few years. We walk by this restaurant everyday and noticed that it was usually busy. It is one block off of Hildago heading towards the water on Abasolo and Av. Guerrero. It was one of the most AMAZING breakfasts that I have had on the island. We tried the... More

Friendly, family establishment! Great decor, including photos of Isla Mujeres from years ago. My husband and I each ordered a cazuela which consisted of eggs and Gouda cheese mixed with various ingredients, depending on the type selected. One cazuela would have been plenty for me to share (but not my husband), as the portion size is large. You can choose... More

My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here on a recent trip to the island. We both enjoyed the Cazuelas, an egg dish with a variety of filling options, covered in gouda cheese and baked on a stone dish. It was incredible. This is a must stop for breakfast in town.

Only had breakfast there but it was very good. Cute corner cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, only open for breakfast and lunch (I think 7 to 3 ??) with friendly service. I had a scrambled egg plate and my husband had one of the cazuela plates, both were delicious. Try it, you will be happy you did.

The breakfast was good. The portiones are quite big. Unfortunately there is no espresso or capuccino available. The service was friendly but we had to remind him more then once about what we ordered.

Great food and service, local island flavors and some typical American favotites. Off the beaten restaurant row and worth the walk.

Went here after we had recommendations from a few other people we met on the island. My only regret is we didn't go sooner, I would of eaten here every morning. The cazuela breakfast dish they are known for was out of this world, we had the one with asparagus. Also tried the crepe with tomato and onion and this... More
